  1. I'm not sure how I feel about this, it's obviously people who adore their cats. Quite amazing, rather magnificent. I will assume these paints are non-toxic for kitties. Can you imagine how still these cats must have hade to sit to have this done. Must be good fur balls!

  2. The link leads to your private email: I can't see the pictures. :)

  3. I set it up so you could still access it, it didn't work?

Painted cats are actually a spoof, according to Snopes, but they are still fun to look at. Some very talented people did a great job with Photoshop.

  6. Goodness.... some of them look just a little bit scary. I'm really glad to know that it's just photoshopped!

  7. How do you know that willow, cause I don't think it is! My husband does that for a living, so I got pretty good at spotting that sort of thing!

  8. They are different pictures for sure, even if photo-shopped :)

  9. Here's the link to Snopes. They are fantastic looking cats, real or not.

  10. 3BK, I thought that because of CBM's reference to Snopes. Sometimes we see the wildest things on the internet and Snopes is very reliable at giving the information behind the story, or pictures or whatever it might be.

I suppose it's possible that people would paint their cats, but I sure hope not!

  11. Not all painted cats are a spoof. I know they come out with various books and calendars periodically that feature cats that have been painted with safe paints that they can lick off after a while. I'm not sure about the Snopes ones, but I do know that the calendars and books are not all photoshopped (got into a discussion on whether or not it qualified as animal cruelty or not to knock a cat out for a while just so you can paint it).

  12. I'm just assuming that these kitties willfully sit to be painted, like thier really obiedient. I can't imagine holding down, strapping down, or putting out a fur ball just to paint it, non-toxic or not.

    Mabey ignorance is bliss,
because if I knew otherwise it would haunt me :( :) :(

  13. It's kinda cute, but my babies are beautiful just how G-d made them!

  14. I believe snopes but dang that is good. It looks to me as if on can see the texture of individual cat hairs. I like the Halloween one on You Tube.

  15. Exactly Miss P, thats why it seems real to me.

  16. Wow those were amazing ! thanks for the link.

  17. They are sure amazing even though not real. I would rather see the $60k a year to paint a cat go to a rescue group.

  18. i had a friend of a friend that used to paint her white cat with jello before it became solid. she said it took a long time for it to come out, but it was completely safe for kitties (and humans)...

  19. My grandson dyes his mohawk hairdo with jello. It lasts for weeks.

  21. Are you sure it's fake? http://www.whypaintcats.com/

Posted 3 years ago by RoseViente #

  22. Yes, Rose, it's fake. That book is a joke. It was written as a sequel to an earlier book, titled "Why Cats Paint," that was also a joke. See the link below:
