   What a wonderful story! I too have a dog with a nice story. We have two kitties and one dog; Betsy. Betsy is an Australian shepherd mix with no flock to herd - so her herd is our cats. Several years ago my sister-in-law asked us to watch her dog. This dog had a history of attacking cats so our cats were placed in our bedroom for the weekend to be kept safe. When the aggressive dog managed to get into our room Betsy came to rescue and chased the other dog down the hall growling and snarling and letting that other dog know NEVER mess with her kitties. Betsy does not let any anmimal near her kitties until they have passed some internal test. It is nice to know that with Betsy around the cats and I am sure the humans need not fear from aggressive outsiders.
