Its a kitty that has to be adopted before Friday 12.00, or else will be euthanized. That would be so sad...
Unfortunately I live to far way toadopt him, but maybe someone here is living closer and wants to give her a chance...

Oh so pretty...are they sure he's a he, I thought calicos were usally girls..no matter, I'm too far away to help, but will pray hard that this gorgeous little one finds a home...love the smudged nose

Please don't hesitate to contact other organizations to find out if they have room to take her. I don't know what Franklin's protocol or policy would be for relinquishing the kitten to a different shelter. Most shelters and rescue groups tend to cooperate with one another, though there are exceptions.

According to at least one website I found, the following Georgia shelters indicate they're no kill: DeKalb Humane Society, Good Mews, Pet Orphans (adoption referral service). These are all in the Atlanta metro area (40-50 miles away from Franklin).
Please contact these groups! Perhaps one of them would be willing to take in this kitten. (If I still lived in the area, I'd be happy to do it myself.)

I have a house full of company and can't take this on. I know of Good Mews and they are a very reputable rescue. I believe their website is www.goodmews.org
Yes, cutiepie can you contact goodmews organization to see if they will go and pick up the kitten or animals before they will be euthanized on Friday? If not, please try calling around to see what no-kill shelter might be willing to help. I am in Calif so I am of no help. If I was closer, I would be willing to transport but alas I am not.

hello everybody!!!! i tried to call to rescue calico becouse right now i'm in vacation at lawrenceville georgia, i have a cat already and she travels with me whereever i go!!!! but nobody answer!!! somebody knows if she had been adopted already? and i would like to help even the little cats and dogs that are in that shelter do you think is possible? how?

thankyou lenny!! i'm goig to call again if she's there, now she got a new home!! but you know how can i help the other animals here? may be giving a donation so be can be there more time to see if somebody would like to have them? i'm not from here so i don't know much of the laws of this country, but where i live you can give donations and they leave them live longer so they can have a chance!!!!!

i tried to leave a message but my english is not that good!! ja ja ja, let's see if somebody understood me and call me back, if not i'm going to be callng, i really would like to give her a good chance....everybody needs an oportunity, and if i have a chance to give her love, my cat she was n the same condition when i adopted her, and now we are happy together...
