  1. Thanks for checking in H. Although the news is mixed, I say it's mostly positive. It sounds as if you have found yourself a realy good vet who is willing to take that extra care. If Dutch's seizures are just due to electrolyte/fliud inbalance, God willing this will be fixable. I will continue special prayers for Dutch and I have a feeling that your Dad is lending a helping hand from above. As for Cinderella, well done, sounds like she is well on the way to recovery in your loving arms. Please keep us posted when you can.

  2. I'm so glad to hear that you were able to get the help you needed. Doctors (whether for people or animals) must remember to be compassionate and do whatever possible to save lives! It's so sad to know that some are so quick to write off a life... :( I hope Dutch gets better soon and his mom and I think it's sweet you named him after your dad. I was gonna name my kitten after my older brother who passed away but knowing me, I'd probably get sad thinking of him each time I called my kitten's name. I hope everything works out for you soon.

  4. Wow, a vet willing to take a kitten home! Kudos to her, I wish she was in MY area! Sounds like Dutch is in very good hands, and Momma too! Of course we will keep the prayers coming.

  6. H, what you've done and achieved is nothing short of amazing - and your new vet rocks!!

Can you set up one of these chip/donate things? (help me out someone, something like lynnmo had and another more recnt thread) - I'm sure there are others who'd like to contribute but need an easy idiotproof way to do it!!

  7. It's chipin.com - if you set up a page H, I'm sure some more people will help.

  8. Hi HB. I can't seem to find my notes on how I set up my chipin page, but it is pretty easy. Just go to the website and it is all pretty self explanatory. You have to set up a paypal account, but that is easy also. I had never done either one, but I had very little problem. Chipin dose not charge you anything at all, but paypal will, however it is very little. Now I do not know how you get your money out of paypal:) I haven't tried yet. When there is enough in there for me to take it out hopefully I'll be able to figure it out.:) If you have any problems you can e-mail me at s54indian@att.net or you can e-mail their support center. I had to and they responded pretty quick. Good luck.

  9. scarver, when you sent up a paypal account, they ask for either a credit card or bank account so that you can then transfer the funds to either one. The transfer takes about 3-4 business days but is pretty easy once it is all setup. You can also check with your vet to see if they will accept funds donated and if yes, provide us with the name, address and phone number.

  11. SylvesterMiasMommie: Thanks for the info. about paypal. And I do remember them asking for my card#, and bank info. including my account#. I am going to call the vet first thing Monday asking if they will take contributions toward my bill directly from the donors. If they say yes then I will post their info. with phone#. Thanks! Have a great day.

  16. i am so sorry it has taken me this long to respond! Both of my boys have been sick and it has been a real problem getting any "me time" with a sick 6 month old and 2yr old! lol but here i am!

Rella is doing great..she goes to get spayed on thursday! I am SOOOOOOO glad i found this vet..i can not get over how much help she has been and how caring she is! Rella refuses to drink out of a bowl and insted turns on my water faucets to drink..only prob. is she doesnt turn them off! LOL She throws her food at me when she is mad and meows at the top of her little kitty lungs at 3am wanting lovins! She has stole my heart like no other kitty!

dutch is doing better! He is up walking around(no more drunk kitty!!) But still refuses to eat and drink..so he is still on IV fluids and tube feeds. The vet says his stomach shut down from going so long with out food that it is painful to digest so that is why he wont eat..he is on a mild pain meds to help. He is such a sweety too his little meow is the cutest! he is still with the vet until he will eat on his own. the name os it is "All Pets Vet" in Norman Oklahoma incase anyone wanted to know!

here is the chip in thing..i dont know if i did it right...but hey its worth a shot http://rellaanddutchvetbills.chipin.com/rella-and-dutchthe-kittens-medical-bills

so far my grand total with 2 emer. vets, 3 reg vets(to find one who didnt want to just put dutch to sleep) and dutches 3 day stay at the new wonderful vet we are at $550...someone has also suggest to try something called "care credit" or something like that..but im not sure my credit would be approved

Oh, and your babies are GORGEOUS!!!

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  29. yeah when i saw the extra toes i thought something was wrong with them! LOL i had NO CLUE about extra toes, i thought they might be in pain..the first vet went to laughed at me =X

Posted 3 years ago by Hizlilbrat #

  30. H. , hope you don't mind, just have one nagging question. Your vet clearly is wonderful, but you mentioned that Rella will be spayed this Thursday. Given that she is getting antibiotics and is recovering from starvation, does he think it is OK to do this so soon? Hope you don't mind me asking
