the vet told me she needed to put on another 1 1/2-2lbs. she has put on 1 1/2 lbs(he is subtracting weight for fur?? i dont under stand quite..like the scale says 8lbs but he says 2lbs are fur?) He said if her blood work(he is looking at her white count) is good on wednesday she will be spayed thrusday morn...I trust them there after as much as they have done for dutch and the great care they have given me as well i think everything will be good!

well i didnt make it out to see him tonight =( but the vet assures me he is doing well...i guess at night he is going home with the tech.

i am very sad to report dutch passed away. I cried so much i made myself sick..and somewhere the in up roar and confusion my cat got outside and is no where to be seen =( it couldnt get much worse..thanks for everyone who offered support and kind words

Oh H,I'm so sorry about Dutch,his chances really were slim when you got him.Because of you he knew love and care.
As for Rella she is probably scared and might have gotten lost.If you go outside and call for her or put a article of clothing(unwashed) that has your scent on it she might return.Good luck H,I'm sorry to hear about how things have happened. -

I'm so, so sorry to hear your sad news about Dutch, Hizlilbrat, no one could have done more than you; you were devoted to these babies from the moment you found them, and little Dutch knew so much love and care because of you, so many kittens and cats never have that. He was adorable and we were all hoping like crazy he would make it through; so many people were pulling for him. I hope Rella finds her way back to you really, really soon; she obviously loves you to bits already (and your faucets!) and I'm sure she'll make it back soon, if she possibly can. Good luck searching for her. Let us know what happens.

my neighbor came today and told me he saw her under his shed(the cats were the talk of my block becuase of their toes! so everyone came to see them! lol) when he tried to catch her she ran..she still has stitches from her spay so i need to get her in ASAP so i went and rented a live trap at the shelter...i have put food and water in it..we dont have many strays around here so hopefully i can get her back inside soon and get her cleane dup..he had said she was pretty muddy

I am so sorry to read this about little Dutch, Hizlilbrat. As all of the others have said, you are a very special person to have tried so hard to save him. Although his life was much too short, he did know love.

I just read the post about poor Dutch, I cry with you on this one. Please take heart that he isn't in anymore pain and now he waits for you and Rella at the Bridge. He knew love because of you and he appreciated it. As for Rella, please don't lose heart, she will come back to you. She knows where there is lots of food, shelter, and love. That would be with YOU! Oh Hizlilbrat....I know how heartbroken you must feel. We all had such high hopes for Dutch..he was such a little fighter. God makes these decisions for us sometimes but God knew more than we do...I'm so sorry and pray that Cinderella will be home soon. I'm sure she will. It could be she's in a private place saying her goodbyes to her final little fursoul. May they all be snuggling in God's embrace. Rella will come home...to the place where love and security reached out to her when she was at her lowest peak. To where she knows she has a furever home. {{{Hugs}}}

I guess i thought he was in the clear..its like he had one little last burt of energy..he could walk ok and was drinking a little water but still tube fed.. they said his respitory infection must have been worse then we realized..it just breaks my heart!
I know how scared Rella is...she is such a special kitty though..i will sit and wait for her to come back though..i just know she will...i love her to much for her to not come back =(

no luck yet..we have put out the live trap the last 2 night..we keep catching opossums and no one has seen Rella in days..im really starting to worry. do you think a opossum can hurt a cat? she isnt a very big cat but she is really fast! i just keep praying.

thank you!!!!! i feel better now...we have caught 6 so far(4 the first night alone..momma and babies maybe? and 2 lastnight) i was so worried that opossum was soooo big...i am hoping rella will come back.but if not im going to hunt her down...which ever comes first!

I printed fliers today..me and my husband covered about 3 miles i think in 107 dagree heat...i am sun burned and my throat is sore from calling her...i hope she comes back soon my heart is aching bad...i even looking in to "pet detectives" today...450 bucks just to come out and look around for an hour..bah why exploit someones pain?
