  1. Hey, everyone, I realize this is early, but my 68-year-old father will be undergoing knee surgery August 8 to help ease the stiffness he's been suffering. He'll be on crutches for a couple weeks after that.

I'm taking off the day of the surgery to help drive him around or do whatever is needed, and my brother will fly in from Illinois to spend some time helping Dad.

So I'm asking for your prayers and the TDK white light to give my dad a speedy and easy recovery, and to give me and my brother the patience to help him as he heals.

  5. Sending prayers and white light to Catherine's dad that his surgery will be a booming success and will heal quickly.

Catherine..I read in 'The Vitamin Bible' written by the editors of prevention magazine that anytime a person goes into surgery of any kind, an elevated level of vit. C ..before and after surgery...will aid in a much quicker recovery time. Just a thought.

  6. Start praying now that everything goes smoothly and that this surgery will help him! Prayer before, during, and after sure can't hurt! Prayers for you too--it is hard when a parent needs help. Hard for the parent because they still see you as their child and hard for the adult child to see a sign of frailty in a parent--then again maybe that is just my projection.

  7. Thanks, everyone. My father's name is Gene.

And, SM, it is very hard to see this frailty in my dad. But maybe this surgery will give him the incentive he needs to get more active and lose the weight that's been so hard on his body.
