  2. please take your kitties to the vet asap...trying to medicate them with leftover meds from a different kitty is a very risky business. that's why vets spend 8 years in school, they know what to do...

  3. Hi Jeri,
I do not know much about sick kitties. I wouldn't try to give them any medication that is not prescribed for them though unless you have spoken to your vet first. I would call your vet and see what they recommend and you might have to take the kitties in to see what is wrong.
This being the weekend, not everyone is around as usual, but we will keep this thread active so the more knowledgeable people can respond to you. Hugs to you and your kitties!!

  4. Jeri, if you have sick kittens and cats, you need to take them to the vet.

  6. Jeri, please take your new kittens to the vet as soon as possible. Keep them comfortable in the meantime; observe their eating, drinking, and elimination habits.

Your vet should be able to correctly diagnose and treat their illnesses.

  7. It is not a good idea to give the leftover medications to your kittens. You need to really bring your kittens to the vet just like what everyone has suggested. I hope you will act soon because kitties go downhill fast. They seems to be suffering from Upper Respiratory Infections and needs their own course of medicine. Please keep your other cat away from the sick kittens because an URI is highly contagious.

  8. Did you purchase these kittens from a breeder or are they rescues? Any reputable breeder guarantees the health of their kittens and should be willing to reimburse you for any vet bills, since you just got them they had to be sick already.

  9. dont use the left over meds, you can injur or kill an animal with the wrong dosage of medicine and if the medicine is old it can be ineffective or worse turned into a poison (this is true for human meds too) Take your cats to the vet and get the correct dosages and treatments for them. Plus if the infections are viral antibiotics will do nothing for them
