As you may have noticed from the title, Spunkie has fleas. :( I don't know how or where he got them but he has 'em. I thought it was weird when I was told that he didn't have fleas when we got him considering he was found outside, but they said the vet told them he didn't have any. I noticed some flea dirt last week and thought he was scratching more than he should so when I dropped him off yesterday to get neutered I asked them to check him out. Sure enough, the vet's office called me and told me he has 'em. They put some Advantage on him and I picked up some Sentry flea spray on the carpets before he came home, but I think I might want to get the Diatomaceous Earth based on previous posts... I've dealt with a major flea infestation before and I do NOT want to go through that again! *sigh*... Spunkie seems to be doing alright though... Just not his usual spunky self which I guess is due to his tenderness and pain management injection. I just hope I can get this flea problem nipped soon... :(

Poor Spunkie first he is nipped by fleas and made itchy and then he nipped and made uncomfy. He will need lots of extra attention and affection. The Advantage works. Soon you should be flea free. Remember there are bunches here that will help with any advice you may need.

I think he may have had them before he went but I thought it was funny that the vet said about a week ago that he didn't have any and then all of a sudden he has 'em. :-/

Spunkie is back to his cuddly self, thankfully. :) I just hope the fleas die off soon.
