Great life story! I'm afraid my own is horribly boring, and would not make for good reading on any level. Yes, George is getting big - and why do they all love paper bags so much?

WOW Kilroy what a story. I am luckier than the others, I was able to read it all at once. What a lovely, and interesting story. AND what a happy ending!
Thank you for telling me where to read it. I really enjoyed reading about your life. You are an excellent writer. Ever thought of writing a book? Oh and mum's the word, on you know. I figured it was a newspaper.
Tell Mr. K. that I am happy that the bartender moved his drink. LOL
Well going to take a quick look at the posts and go to bed. My daughter took me out to dinner tonight. Chicken Scampi yum yum. Then we went to visit a friend. Tomorrow she is leaving for Tysons Corner, VA to start a job on Monday. Maybe someday we will have a meetup in NY. I am only 2 or 3 hrs away. I lived in Jersey most of my life. 11 miles fr. Kilroy! What a story. I love it. I'm so glad I had a chance to read it. Thanks so much. Reading it all at once was great. I was never very good at waiting. Perhaps, in the future I will get the courage to share my story. I can't write nearly as well as you. Again, thanks for sharing your great story.

Aw, thanks guys. I guess I didn't think about the fact that it would get bumped when JJB read it, but I'm glad some folks got to see it who hadn't. And JJB, thanks for asking on FB about my wedding; it was not exactly traditional, but it was perfect for us.
One of the nice details about that day was the fact that my dad's brother and his wife got married in the same place about 50 years before we did. He was the second person I called to tell that Mr. K & I had gotten hitched (after my mom).

Good morning everyone first thing I did after I took a shower and got my coffee and bagel, was to sit down and go right to TDK. I didn't think about others reading it either Kilroy, but I am so glad it bumped up.
And that was so neat too, about your Dad's brother getting married there 50 years before. Thanks again for sharing. You put a smile on my face!!
Off to the morning shift to see what the kitties have cooked up.

Guess I am like Jean and kinda "out of it" this week and only just caught this thread. I am so glad I got to know my "brain sister" so much better thru this lovely thread. You certainly do have a way with words Kilroy, as if we are just sitting here and talking. It was so well written and warm. Please keep us updated on your very interesting life! Hugs to you sis!
