Hi everyone! I have been reading a lot of the post on here lately and I have come to understand the concerns/doubts many of you have regarding certain types of subjects posted on here. For the ones of you reading this but don't already know, I have another post on here about my senior kitty and her outstanding vet bill. If you would be so kind to allow me a couple more minutes of your time I would like to further elaborate on my request. I realize Sarah is not in the hospital at the present holding on by a thread, or in any sort of an emergency state. But as her mommy it is my responsibility to do everything in my power to protect her and/or provide her the best quality of life that I can. And the problem with Sarah is, she could become very sick again at any given moment. If and when that should happen before we can manage to pay off this outstanding vet bill, we would not be able to save her. Or at least that is my fear and I believe a very real possibility. The vet can and will only do so much. I do not feel, nor would I expect them, to allow us to charge up a big bill they know we could not pay. We have been paying on this bill since March and doing good until this past month, July. We have come up against a personal financial dilemma that is going to have us in a real bind for the next 3 months. If we can just hold it together, rent/bill wise, and keep are furbabies with us until then, we will be okay. But, in the mean time, I am very concerned about getting this vet bill paid off. We can not make any kind of payment towards it for the next 3 months. This is why I am asking for help. We don't even have money to get Sarah's medicine tomorrow because we can not charge it right now. But if we didn't have an outstanding bill, we could. Sarah is on thyroid medicine and it is important she has it everyday. She also has to take steroids to stimulant her appetite. We struggle to keep weight on her. She has inflammatory bowel syndrome and some sort of liver dysfunction. She almost died the first time in the hospital and was "very" sick this last time. She is not a well kitty anymore at all. Sometimes when I look at her I just want to cry. She never plays anymore, her hair is dull and she is weak. We do not leave her outside anymore for very long at a time and we watch her much closer then use to. I don't think she could defend herself anymore against another cat or anything else. Sometimes she don't even want to go outside because she feels so bad. Anyway, I will not go on and on about our problems. Everyone has them. I just wanted to explain why I was asking for help when she is not currently in any sort of emergency. I do appreciate your time, concern, prayers, and thank you so very much for the ones of you who have helped so far.

scarver, I don't think that anyone has questioned your request. I could be wrong, but I think what has happened is that your request has come in concurrent with a few others all within a week I believe.My prayers and best wishes.

scarver...I hear your intense love and concern for you sick baby. It tugs at my own heartstrings as I know the feeling. I'm on a fixed income each month and if anything happens to my babies, God forbid, I don't know what I'd do. I ask God to protect my loved ones daily and in my faith I find solice and comfort. I can send you heartfelt prayers that you receive the assistance you need and that your own heart finds peace in it. God Bless you and your sweet Sarah.

TheKnittingNinj. Please don't misunderstand me and my reason for this post. I posted this for no other reason other then it is "important" to me that everyone understand "why" I am asking for help when Sarah is not currently in a state of emergency. Again, I understand members concerns/doubts, and I now share those same concerns myself after reading some of the post here and on other similar sites. It's just a very unsafe and uncertain world for all of us anymore. So I feel when you are being true about something, it may be necessary sometimes to be very clear of your intentions. It's just hard to believe in people anymore, therefore I do not have a problem justifying anything I do or say, because I understand. I care about what people think of me, maybe to much so. I just wanted to make it clear "why" I posted on here, that's all. And yes I do understand many of you are in the same position as I am, and maybe your right, everyone that cares to help, already has. If so, then that is okay, because I have been very blessed by the help I have received so far. But honestly, I do not believe "everyone" has even read my post yet, therefore if by the grace of God there may be a few more out there.

I would love to be able to help. Lord knows I understand the problems of vet bills. With a cat with feline leukemia I have vet bills that are horrid. My dachshund has cancer too and that adds up quickly. Those that can will chip in and help--I believe that several have. Unfortunately some are in similiar boats to you and the best we can give you are prayers. People are doing the best they can to help you.

scarver...I also can only offer Hope & Prayers that your sweet Sarah stay as healthy as God can offer her to. So many of my TDK Family have helped me in the past when I felt I was reaching the flat-line area of my emotional & financial ways & means.
I know that without their thoughts,Prayers & Healing light...I honestly don't think I'd be here today to even tell you that you Do have a friend in myself that cares about you & your furrbabies. {{{HUGS}}}

I am searching for a job at this time, I'm not in a position to help right now either, only to send prayers. I pray your baby has no pain and your ordeal is over soon.

WOW!!! This is amazing. Thanks to all of you soooo much for responding. My request is not just about needing money. Prayers, wishes, and kind words mean just as much. So please, don't ever think just because you can't help financially, that your prayers and such are not just as appreciated. Because they are!!! I believe with all of my heart Sarah would not be here today if not for prayers being made and heard. Everyone at the vet called her "the miracle kitty" when she was in the hospital the first time. I know she can not and will not live forever, but it is important to us to take care of her the best we can for however much longer she is with us. My heart goes out to all of you who are in the same boat as we are, and the ones of you that have lost your pets. We have had to put down two in the past 2+ years. Thanks everyone!

ReneeinArkansas: Is your Fluffy all black? I love black cats, I think they are very pretty. I had 2 or 3 of them growing up, maybe that's why I like them so. I had one when we lived in California and her name was Hobo. Sarah reminds me of Hobo because Sarah is blind in her left eye and so was Hobo. :)

Sweetheart, my financial position is such that there is very little I can offer except sincere prayers, abiding concern, sympathy, empathy, and a great deal of love.
I love black cats, too. My two cats are both very dark. Rotley is a sleek black Bombay, and Ruggles is a big goofy mahogany Maine Coon/Manx.
Yours sound like darlings, and I am so glad you are on this site!

Yes, scarver, my Fluffy was all black with yellow eyes and sort of long hair, just like your Sarah. Sadly, she passed away many years ago. She was so sweet.

And Thank you, to all of you who are so thoughtful and bump my posts up to keep them on the main page for awhile. I would also like to give everyone an update. My chipin fund is at 58%! Hello everyone! It sure is hot here this weekend. Sarah and Mama are mad at us because we made them stay in yesterday due to the heat. Sarah stays in during the day for the most part anyway, but she had to come in a little earlier then usual yesterday. They both went out early this morning, Sarah came in already but Mama is off hiding somewhere I guess. She really dose not like being in the house. I guess once feral, always feral, to some degree anyway. Hey everyone, the chipin fund is at 60%.:) Over half way there. Thanks everyone!
