  7. Centerist, but leaning equally toward both conservative and libertarian. When I think about it, that is pretty true. I'm not a "big government" person.

  8. Centrist - but just on the edge of liberal. That seems just about right to me. I have adjusted a few of my views more toward the center as I've gotten older.

  13. Statist - the definition surprised me. Probably would have come up with a completely different answer for a different set of questions though! I think I'm more of a "they'reallasbadaseachother-ist" myself...

  14. Your PERSONAL issues Score is 30%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 80%.

According to your answers, the political group that agrees with you most is...

    Conservative

CONSERVATIVES tend to favor economic freedom, but frequently
support laws to restrict personal behavior that violates "traditional values." They oppose excessive government control of business, while endorsing government action to defend morality and the traditional family structure. Conservatives usually support a strong military, oppose bureaucracy and high taxes, favor a free-market economy, and endorse strong law enforcement.

    *************
Yep, that's me. Too bad there isn't a single party or candidate out there that agrees with me. Sounds like blogging material to me, though.

Gawd, I miss Ronald Reagan and Maggie Thatcher. *sigh*

  15. Maggie Thatcher - did exactly what this country needed, then seemed to disappear up her own dodah. Likewise Tony Blair. Two opposing parties, two identical results. They all go bad in the end. Vote Monster Raving Loony Party!!!

  16. (yes, we really have a political party with that name!)

Posted 1 year ago by cricketsmama #

  18. That's OK, CM, most of us voters have no idea who we are! That's how so many goofballs wind up getting elected. ;D

MCW, that's what I love about the Parliamentary system. I spent all of the 90's wishing we had one...

  19. If I remember rightly, their policies used to include privatising hot air and turning the european butter mountain into a ski slop!!!!! :-D

Posted 1 year ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  20. somedays I am tempted to write in my own name on the ballot. I just hate the game playing, the name calling, the he said/he said and they are all millionaires that have no clue on how to survive the real world. When they have to pay my bills and feed my family on 1 salary, then you can tell me about it.
    sorry...off my soapbox.

  23. I'm Libertarian, apparently.

Posted 1 year ago by Catwoman #

  24. It says libertarian. But really, it's just a label, right? Doesn't mean anything. Besides, it's not like I can get out there and vote anyway. I tend to keep most of my political views to myself because that's the way I was brought up. I think most people should be brought up that way. It's hard for me to get all caught up in what this side or that side thinks because it doesn't really have much to do with me either way - I think that's true for most people no matter what 'ideaology' they profess to believe in.
