Jcat - I think some of the other regulars told you that there are some other Kiwi TDK posters. I was wondering if you want to get in email contact at all. If you don't that's OK.

Evening Debra, I'm worn out from moving Airy's furniture today. Watching the Olympics off and on. We scared the heck out of Shadz when we won a Gold in rowing. It came down to a photo finish and we thought we had come second. When we saw the photo there was a great deal of yelling and clapping of hands going on here.

Hi, guys, just back from a phone call to my Mum. Thanks, MS for doing that! Heard from my parents the drama over poor Mahe Drysdale and about the twins getting a gold in rowing -- the first day I don't see ANY of the Olympics and all the excitement happens! Feel sorry for Mahe, it sounds like the poor guy gave his all. (Debra, he was our shot at gold in the rowing but he has been sick for days -- lost 4 kilos in weight in 4 days and was apparently on an intravenous drip) -- still managed to get a bronze but collapsed in his boat at the end.

Hi jcat, I missed his race(hangs head in shame) Airy and I were out buying Hell pizza for tea. Mr MS said that Mahe collapsed and they had to carry him from the dock. What an amazing effort he put in. We saw the Evers-Swindell twins race and nearly had a heart attack.

Only watched the equestrian jumping quals today, sounds like the rowing crews did quite well for you guys....feel for poor Mahe Drysdale and being sick :(
Hate moving myself, especially when it all gets packed into one space (i.e., our garages, storage units, etc.).
Sitting here at work eating cinnamon raison bagel crisps w/tomato slices on top...

We hired a Transit van and Mr MS and his brother drove over in that while I took out car. We went to a beautiful garden to get 'Graduation' photos of Airy and Jim-man seeing as how they won't be here for graduation. Than we loaded up both vehicles and headed back home. All this done between heavy rain showers. We are trying to stay up until 1am to watch another NZ medal hopeful in the shot,an amazing young woman called Valerie Vili.

Well let's just hope she gets a medal....have only been watching bits & pieces of the swimming, gymnastics, and the equestrian events...much less than what I have normally watched in the past.

They just repeated the Evers-Swindell race on the telly -- ohmigod, how close was that? I'm glad I saw it. (Still, as my dad says, they'll probably be repeating both races ad nauseum over here so we'll have plenty more chances to see them, MS.) You've had a busy day, MS. Hate all that hoo-ha round moving and travelling, it's so stressful. Debra, I like watching the showjumping too.
-
Hopefulluy this will be Airy's last move for some time, and if it's not she will most likely be too far away for us to help her(how sad). :-)
That race was unbelievably close, one hundreth of a second between them. Jcat, are you going to try and watch Valerie Vili at around 1am.Posted 3 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

I think I might, MS, I didn't even know that was tonight until you said. We'll see if I can keep my eyes open. In the spirit of which, might go get a cuppa tea and cuddle the babies (Libby's just come in through the window and she's soaking. I take it the weather hasn't improved outside...)Bye for now...

Wish I could see some of the equestrian events @ work but they aren't showing it on the channels we have here, the Grand Prix is in progress now.

Night jcat, I think Valerie is on tonight, I herad it mentioned as I passed by the TV and can't swear that is right. It's stopped raining here and it's not too cold but we still have a fire tonight. I'm off to have a fresh perked coffee to help keep me awake. Good night all.
