Well all I will be gone for about a week! My uncle who lives upstate(My daughters Godfather) Died unexpectedly Thursday in his sleep! My Aunt(His sister) got a phone call this morning from my Uncles landlady that she haddn't seen him and the dog haddn't been out! My Aunt went over to check on him and found him! I was going up on Wednesday to visit for a week but Now I will be leaving tomorrow and attending a funeral!

I know your thoughts are on your uncle now, but what happened to the dog, was it okay? Was it stuck in the home for a couple days? I hope he had a self feeder for him!

Dorie...I'm so sorry for you & your daughter's loss. {{{HUGS}}} to you both & to your Uncle's Family.
I just went last night to the river's edge service for my best friend that just passed. They really went all out for him. We sang a couple of church hymns & everyone said nice things about their life experiences with him. There was this large bowl of roses & petals & we all took a hand full & walked down to the river's edge & tossed them in & they floated down stream till they reached his house & stopped. Bittersweet it was.
My heart goes out to you & the family at this time.

Ok You all have me crying! I've been doing that off and on all day! It hurts to be home as this was his home growing up and I turn the corner and I swear i'm seeing him there(I also feel him giving me noogies, He was that type of uncle)! I have spent the last 3 hours going through pictures and getting the stuff together to make a collage!
