For a while you've been able to upload a picture to your TDK profile, but it's never really worked as well as we'd like.
So today we're introducing a new system, one which displays a little image next to your name each time you post, both on the Daily Kitten entries and on TDK chat, as well as on your profile pages.
These new pictures are called Gravatars, and to get one you just click the helpful link to the gravatar.com edit/signup pages on your profile-edit page, and follow the instructions.
All the old avatar images have been disabled, so you will need to upload a new image even if you've done so before, but I'm sure you'll agree that the improvement makes it worthwhile. If anyone want to re-use their old image, we've stored them all here, where they can be downloaded and used again with the new system.
If you haven't added a Gravatar, an 'identicon' will be displayed in its place. This is a graphic which is computer-generated but completely unique to you. While we're setting up the new system things might not look quite as they should, but we'll get it all working perfectly as soon as we can!
