    No, I didn't know her name was Penelope! Those are my FAVORITE cartoons, with the wee kitten dominating the HAYUGE bulldog. Exactly the way it SHOULD be :-)

    I'm seeing tons of kitties as avatars now. This is so much better than first thing this morning!

    GK, I'm glad you like it! There's some confusion on the kitty; in the first cartoon, it's referred to as "he" by the woman. But later cartoons (ala Pepe la Pew) have her as a female. So it could be the same cat, could be different. I'm happy to say that I'm assuming the cat is female and spayed (no visible bits), and that the default gender was due to the woman not taking a closer look at the kitten.

    Siobhan, the funniest thing is that the sequence of responses by Marc Anthony, while the kitten's (supposedly) going through the mixer, rolling, baking... they're almost frame-for-frame repeated in Monsters, Inc.. I thought that was a nice tribute.

    And did you notice the other tribute in Monsters, Inc.? The name of the chichi place where Mike Wazowski took his date was Harryhausen's--for the famous animator.
