  1. They have a dunk tank set up in the parking lot today. You can buy tickets to benefit the United Way. Currently the CFO is in there wearing a white dress shirt, shorts, converse tennis shoes, and a bow tie. It's worth the price of admission just to see that! He's hamming it up too. It's great. Before him, it was the owner's daughter in the tank.

  6. Actually I can't throw a ball to save my life. I let my softball playing coworkers handle the dunking. It was a hoot

    It's craziness out there. People are just writing checks and letting anyone take a shot at the various VPs that have been in the tank.

  13. To get us to donate they have put those who donate into a drawing to have the Superintendent sub in our room. I give but I can't stand taking a day off--I worry too much. Although if I was going to have a sub she would be the best.

  14. Our 'extra incentive' to give to United Way last year was that we were able to wear jeans everyday for about 3 1/2 weeks. Needless to say, there were a lot of jeans-wearing teachers! :)
