There's a catch. It is a make-over sort of thing. BlogHer, the ad service I use on my blog, is running a campaign with JCPenney. They are picking bloggers in my area to give a $300 JCPenney gift card to. The catch is that you have to go shopping with their representative and let them pick your clothing.
We were told to submit specific wardrobe issues. Well I have an interesting one. I have a conceal carry permit and want to dress like a girl. I figured telling her that would scare her off.
Nope! She said she had never done that before and is excited for the challenge.

Many years ago when I went through a concealed carry class, it was taught by this petite 70 yr. old woman with a southern accent who was dressed to the nines-pretty, feminine dress, heels, a lady-like jacket that matched her dress. We asked if she was carrying----she turned around, flipped up the back of her suit jacket and there was a .357 magnum in a back holster! Never forgot that event! I work in a less than safe part of town. Hubby and I decided that it would be appropriate for us to get our licenses to carry concealed weapons. We took the state sponsored class. 4 hours of which were spent with an attorney talking about all the in's and out's of the law. Then we were taught by a retired police officer, and then finally we did our range session to prove we could handle them safely. Then we filed our paperwork. It took 10.5 weeks for the sheriff's office and then the state and then the FBI to do my background check to make sure I'm a fine-upstanding citizen. Then I finally got my license.
I'm not a police officer or anything, but I am concerned with personal protection and the protection of my family. I hope and pray that I never have to use it.Posted 1 year ago by MeezerMama in OK; 10/23 #
