  1. I just checked to see if anyone opened up yet, and.....nothing......
So the fountains are now on, the lights are down low, and we're open for business.

Welcome all TDKers, KM and night shifters.

    Raises a toast to all....

  2. Accepts and raises a toast back, Cheers Bobbi!!! BTW your avatar is too cute :)

and before I lie down to try and take a nap before work this evening, here is my tip (after reading the Real Simple magazine), before you place an online order, look for discount codes @ retailmenot.com and/or mybargainbuddy.com

  13. HI KK!!!!!! Waving hands.....
Is it coming together for her?

Posted 3 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #

  14. Yes it seems to be - has her visa now thank goodness. They leave on Tuesday.

Posted 3 years ago by KapitiKats in NZ #

  15. Great! I was beginning to worry. At least that stress is off of her.

Posted 3 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #

  16. Now she is just stressing about her first overseas flight!

Posted 3 years ago by KapitiKats in NZ #

  17. That's easy stress, the visa was hard stress lol

  18. You didn't quite miss everyone, AB! I just updated my "wish me luck" thread about Otto and Ellis, the auto shop boys and their day at the 'spa.'

I think I'll be turning in, soon. It's been a long day, I need a sip of Chambord, and I have a funeral to attend tomorrow morning.

    Posted 3 years ago by anncetera2 #

  19. I just responded to that ann.
UGH on the funeral. Hope it is not someone you were really close to. 'course, even those are difficult.

  20. Michael was a friend; I believe his widow, Ginger, will need some support to get through tomorrow.

I think with Ellis it's one step forward, two steps back. I wonder how long it will take to get him to trust me again. I'm a patient person, but he has all the reason in the world not to trust people right now, and so few options to choose when he gets all scared. Poor little guy!!

    Posted 3 years ago by anncetera2 #

  21. I understand. In both instances.
Hope it is not too stressful for you or Ginger.

And I will send positive energy to you in regard to Ellis. We'll explain it will be for his own good.
Oops, that was the name of a very difficult book about the Nazis. "For Their Own Good." Yikes.

    Anyway, good luck tomorrow.

  22. Thanks! And I just want Ellis to become happier (or at least less stressed) around people, and being handled by people. I'm not sure he'll ever want to be picked up or held, but I'd at least like to get him to the point where he likes being petted, and actively seeks it out. I think I'm at least a month or two away from that now; I'd just gotten him to the point where sometimes he liked being petted.

  23. Good Evening All!

Seems that many have already turned in. I am on my way too. Had to check in though. I worked security at the dance tonight. We had over 300 students attend. That is a lot of sweaty bodies in a gym. We had a good time though. The kids behaved appropriately (or we threw them out), and they didn't make a mess so clean up was quick and easy. We had everything done by 9:25 but we had 3 kids still waiting on rides. It took forever to get someone to pick them up!! We were there until 9:50 waiting for someone to get them. Considering that the dance was over at 9:00 I was not a happy camper. I had been at the school since 7:30 that morning, and I wanted to go home.

  24. Sounds like a busy night sm. Thems a lotta hours....

  25. hmmmmm. I go off to play a game for awhile, and I seem to miss everyone.

ann. Good luck with Ellis. What does he look like?

Posted 3 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #

  26. Glad to hear you're at home now, SM!!

  27. There is only one back to school dance a year and it makes student counsel a lot of money! It is our big evening. It makes for a long day though. Husband does that--I don't want to follow his lead.

  28. AB, Ellis is the brown tabby:

    http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s201/anncetera/Auto%20Shop%20Kittens/

    The tuxedo kitty is Otto.

The first image on the page is a video taken only a couple days ago; it helps show how normally they both play, in spite of their condition. (It also helps show some of the reason I'd love to see them get adopted together, rather than separately.)

    Posted 3 years ago by anncetera2 #

  29. Ellis does look a bit fearful. Can you control who they end up with??

Posted 3 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #

  30. I have complete control over who they end up with. The only timeline I'm working against is them outgrowing their kittenhood; adult cats are harder to place, whether disabled or not.
