  1. Famliy member and threats made. It has been a very difficult da for some of the kids. Many of my kids where friends with the boy that was killed, his death left alot of fear in them. Rough day. Although the police have been out in force. I think it helps to see them in the neighborhoods.

  2. Hmmm, the Clovis Jail system seems to be having its own issues, got to be scary for the community on top of everything else.

  4. When you hire those that are friends to those on the inside sometimes lines get blurred don't they? This gang stuff upsets a lot of us. I just don't understand. It isn't because I don't try, I do listen to the kids. I am tired of hearing I don't have a choice because I will be hurt or killed. Time to build a better mousetrap but I am at a loss as to how.

  6. How scary Soxsmom! I remember when I was going to College of Santa Fe and they had an immate escape from the prison there. He was someone who was in for attempted murder. Supposedly he crossed through the campus. They had us all on alert for a day or two.

    Bobbi, not a bad day. Just some issues with T-Mobile. My day was fine. Nice and busy as the day went on. How was your day?

  8. 2 of the escapees are murderers. One of them killed a 10 year old kid asleep in his bed. My kids went to school with that boy. This has affected a lot of kids.

    In his bed? Why? and why wasn't he in a more secure prison? I mean this "correctional facility"...was it meant for hardened criminals?

  11. Let's hope that they catch them soon, Lubbock is a little ways from Clovis isn't it? You are right, the gang stuff is scary especially since that is all some of these kids have grown up with :(

  12. I have never seen so many police--local, state, and another police presense that I don't know who they are. They seem to be trying. Now if they can catch them and keep them behind bars.

  13. hi all!!! i came home from work dead tired, so i took a nap. woke up at 8pm. i am just finishing dinner of a cheese sandwich, milk, and cherries. my packing chore tonight is to finish getting all the cut-down boxes from the basement into the apt. then i will have nothing left in the basement.

    anyone out there have some good milk chocolate for me as a reward ?

  17. Bobbi to sum it up we have 8 that have escaped the detention center through the roof. 2 have been caught. 6 are on the loose and 1 is a murder suspect and another is a convicted murderer--he killed a 10 year old. One was caught right away, and the other was just caught in Lubbock.

  18. Chocolate milk from a creamery is usually the best, Cheri. I use to buy one made from one of the local ones when I lived in Marin. It was so rich and yummy! Sending you some of that. Wish I could remember where I got it from. Oh well.

  27. The town is going a little crazy. People are getting paranoid and seeing people everywhere. Daughter is up at the college and someone just called and said that one was spotted there. Possible yes, but realisticly can you imagine an escappee running to the local community college? Hoping to what? Get registered for the fall semester?? Bobbi let's just get a feliway dispencer--you know city sized and a really big plug!!
