  1. Well, faye made it here today (southern tennessee). Weather guy says it is not supposed to stop until wednesday or thursday,, then a cold will come through for thursday and friday. Now they are saying another tropical storm is coming to the gulf for the weekend. Guess we might put a dent in the drought situation. And of course, some of the kitties would prefer to hide under the truck instead of inside where it is nice and warm.

  2. yes I can't believe another TS is out there now. I hope it doesn't come this way b/c the ground is still saturated and the water is still high.

  3. There is a ring of rain surrounding Athens, and we are only getting a few periods of light drizzle. Raining everywhere but here!

  4. I wish we'd get some... there's some forcasted for us on Thursday, but we are SO DRY here (SE Wis) Any big storms they said were coming left hardly anything... One day it sprinkled for 5 mins... a couple days later for about 10 mins.

Send some up our way, willya? lol :)

  5. We could use some too...We have flash flood warnings in the desert, here we just get the humidity, along with our already 105+ temp.

  6. We've got flash flood warnings here, too. We finally got the rain last night, and it's continuing this morning. When the hourly forecast was predicting 100% chance of rain--nothing. We got it when the hourly forecast was predicting 30% chance.

  8. It has been pouring rain here for about 14 hours. We had the tornado sirens go off this morning just as I was getting the boy ready for school. My little pond/stream in the front yard looks like Ride the Rapids at 6 Flags, and all of my cattails are flattened. I don't usually have arthritis issues but every joint in my body is aching, especially my fingers.

  10. That was so cute PipasMum! Everyone please stay safe who is effected by the TS. Wow, that is scary CW! We really could use some rain here in California. Could you send Fay our way, please?

  11. Ha Ha PM! My rain is not as cute and fluffy!

We are fine, the worst of the storm has passed over. Though it is still raining, I jsut saw the sun peep out from behind the clouds. At least it's cool and breezy and I can have the AC off. Got a big shocker when I got my electric bill for July--$290! For one month! As soon as I saw that, I turned the AC off and opened the windows. We have ceiling fans in every room and my house is surrounded by trees, so it's not *too* bad, but certainly not comfortable either.

  12. Dear Fay,

It is very obvious that you aren't really wanted where you are currently residing. I would like to extend a hearty West Texas "Howdy" and invite you to come on over, sit a spell, and (if you are so inclined), feel free to pee at will on the plains of West Texas.

We're very friendly here and I am certain that you would receive a very warm welcome.

    Adios!
