  1. That's what everyone said, PM. That with a name like Tristan he would be made fun of in school, but can you believe that I have noticed three or four other Tristans around his age. A lot of women were watching Legends of the Fall and enjoying a bottle of wine around the same time as me....LOL

  2. It is a definite view 2b, they even gave us a picture of her legs and little butt and the area showing it's a girl :)
We still have our boy name just in case.
Tristan...Wayne loved that name. I liked it but didn't think it sounded masculine enough.
Maddie doesn't say too much yet, but I think she would pick Dora or Ruby from her favorite cartoons. Or Blue...lol

  3. Geez, thank God for the edit button...fumble fingers today.

  4. I thought it was from Tristan and Isolde... Believe me, you did good with Jake... he probably would have never lived off the "Tristan"

  5. Especially with the explanation..."Well you see son, 9 months before your birth I was watching Legends of the Fall one night with your father. There was a bottle, or maybe two, of wine. All I recall is that I loved the name TRISTAN."

  6. And CM... try Carmen... it is a popular name here... it is blessed by "La Virgen del Carmen".

    ...also Marina comes to mind....

  7. I have a niece named Tristan. It makes a fabulous girl name. We call her Tristie or Trissie most of the time. CM, run it by hubby as a girl name and he may like it for that.

  8. Aaaaand thank goodness you weren't watching BATMAN CW....

  9. mmmmm...had a bad experience with a Carmen growing up PM...We didn't get along, so the name has a very bad taste in my mouth.

How about Arwen or Galadriel from Lord of the Rings? lol just kidding!!!

  11. I agree "Tristan" would have got beat up alot in school!!! But I do understand about the weakness after C-section..I was weak, then they gave me morphine, then asked me to sign the birth certificate...still have to get that fixed!!! They spelled his middle name wrong, but I never noticed..

  12. I got to name my one brother. Well his middle name anyways :) Benjamin :) I love that name lol!

I did insure that my youngest brother did not get called Remmington and that my sister did not get called Clarissa lol. (My mother wanted to name her kids after names from popular commercials at the time.

I still shudder at the commercial from 17 years ago... "Clarissa... is that you"

Thing is I do like the name Laurissa and Alyssa but not Clarissa. As for Remmington... why name your kid after Remmington Steel... And I was gonna be called Roxanne... 30 years ago...

  13. Chey, when CM had her first ultrasound the tech (I think) said the baby was swimming around like a fish - so we started calling it/her little fishie :) Just a TDK joke.

  14. *cough* *cough*
Marina? There are REALLY REALLY nice people with that name...

    Ana? Silvia? Amelie?

  15. I had a c-section with Maddie. Thank god I did the birth certificate the next day! I have to have another with this baby.
I had a coworker who had her second baby and it was a boy and they named him Christopher and when she went to get his birth certificate when he was about 7 or 8 it showed him as a female and she had to jump through hoops to get it changed.

  16. I asked the Tristans I encountered if anyone made fun of them for their name, and they all said no one did!

*still not giving up on Tristan*

    *sniff*

  17. I did suggest Amelie to Wayne and he looked at me like I grew an extra head.

  18. Give me an M!
    Give me an A!
    Give me an R!
    Give me an I!
    Give me an N!
    Give me an A!

    MARINA!!!!

    *exhausted from hinting*

Posted 3 years ago by PipasMumSpain #

  19. Ooh, I like Amelie. I had several girl's names picked for my third but was out of boys names and inspiration.

I was going to name #3 Christina Grace if he had cooperated and been born a girl. Christina was my Great-aunt's name, and her mother's.

Posted 3 years ago by Catwoman #

  20. Hmmm...Have you thought of the name MARINA? That just came to me for some reason....

Posted 3 years ago by Catwoman #

  21. See? Christina I do like...
    :-)

  22. Christopher is the brother of mine where I suggested the middle name. :)

The spelling on my birth certificate is wrong. Same with my dad, but with his they screwed up more then just his name. He dosnt think the age is right cause it would have made him 4 when he started grade one.

    Chey

  23. You know...I just thought of a name....Marina...

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  24. I like Marina!!!!

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  25. LOL at CM and CW!!!

    Really? *gasp* what a surprise!

Posted 3 years ago by PipasMumSpain #

  26. Thanks 2b!

Posted 3 years ago by PipasMumSpain #

  27. What about the name Debra? You know, Deborah was the only woman in the Bible to rule Israel. She was a strong woman and a warrior. I pretend to be named after her even though my mother actually named me after *cough cough* Debbie REYNOLDS.

Posted 3 years ago by Catwoman #

  28. You guys are so funny! How about Alicia or Alexandra? You can call her Ally for short.

Posted 3 years ago by SylMiaFelixMomma #

  29. I suggested both those names SMM and was denied. :)
    Something will come to us...hopefully.
I kinda like Chelsea..Natalie...but that can change!

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  30. Congratulations, CM!!! Yeah, you might not want to let Maddie name her, because you might end up with a 'Montana' or something! How about Morgan?

Natalie? Then, you'd have a Maddie and Nattie!!! :)
