  3. Well, this has just come to me, but how about Marina as a name for the baby? :-)

  5. that is great news!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. The names I had chosen, and never got to use, were 'older' names... Olivia, Hannah, Amanda, and one that a bit stronger -Morgan.

A sweetie little bundle of pink... Congrats !!

  7. Olivia..I love that name (it's also my sons girlfriends name)

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  8. I love Olivia and Grace but Wayne thinks they are too common. Hannah I like too but with the advent of Hannah Montana, he doesn't like it anymore.

  9. Sort of have to agree with Wayne on the Hannah Montana thing, CM. Olivia is a beautiful name but there are so many beautiful and unique names to choose from!

  10. HMMM, how 'bout Marina?

    Posted 3 years ago by BCAMflorida227 #

  11. Yea, Hannah is definitely out, just due to the overpopularity of the name.
Something will appear, I hope. I like to have a name though soon.
I hate the baby books too since, I don't want to look through 35,000 names alphabetically. That takes forever. I like lists. Quick, easy..etc.

  12. Marina - now that has such a nice ring to it!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  13. I do like Olivia, Grace and Marina!!! Yeah, Marina!!! now that's a beautiful name, and I must say, the only Marina I know is very, very beautiful!!!

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  14. Alexis, Alexandria, Jennifer, or Katherine?

Posted 3 years ago by myuvanc #

  15. Just thought of the other one I liked - but ex didn't and it had to do with timing.... Whitney. Just as Whitney Houston was making a name for herself.

Have you thought about 'ethnic' names? My trainer, although she is 1/2 Black and 1/2 Native AMerican, chose a Hawaiian name for her daughter. Maybe something that rings from your background or history.

  16. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted 3 years ago by Buttercup #

  17. I love the names Harper and Darby. For some reason, though, Marina keeps popping into my head! :)

Posted 3 years ago by FondaHonda #

  18. Marina...Marina........Marina.......Marina..........

Why can't I get that name out of my head? It must be a sign!

CW, I have a niece who named her son Tristan. She said that would be the name boy or girl. I'm not fond of it but hey, it's not like I have to live with it.

  19. *warbles*

    Marina
I just met a girl named Marina
    And suddenly that name
    Will never be the same
    To me

    Marina
I just kissed a girl named Marina
    And suddenly I found
    How wonderful a sound
    Can be

    Marina
Say it loud and there's music playing
Say it soft and it's almost like praying

    Marina
    I'll never stop saying
    Marina

I'm sorry, Leonard - it just seemed to fit!

  20. That's great cm! and Marina is a beoootiful name! and it's different for here, but not odd, like Apple or whatever the heck weird name Gwen Stefani gave her new baby.

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  21. and WWM, aren't the words by Stephen Sondheim? ;) altho, I must admit your words sound quite lovely and fitting!

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  22. No, no, Linda - it was Gwyneth Paltrow that named her daughter Apple. Gwen Stefani named her son Zuma. Which, you must admit, is not a name that you hear just every day. (isn't Zuma a drink?????)

No, I think West Side Story is Leonard Bernstein. But I could be wrong!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  23. It was Leonard Bernstein!!! But I really like your version!!!

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  24. Isn't the drink Zima ?

Posted 3 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  25. Hurrah for girls!! Congratulations to you & Wayne (& Maddie!!)

Now names...does this remind anyone of the Friends Ross/Rachel episode when they were vetoing each others choices...! - Well, of the ones mentioned so far I like Amelie and Ruby (and maybe Marina!) - if I ever have a daughter (which is now most unlikely) she would have been called Jessica. I also like the name Hester, but it's a little old fashioned for some.

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  26. Wonderful news CM, Wayne & Maddie!!!!! So many suggestions for names...I have them all swirling round n' round my brain. The only name I've managed to come up with myself is Annabelle..or Annabella..When she's older she can become any of several variations..Ann..Anna...Bell...Bella...Anyway...I think this is so exciting and I'm so happy for you and the family Jen!!! :D

Posted 3 years ago by Karenopa #

  27. Hester?????? As in The Scarlett Letter??? MCW, you surely would not set a child out in life with the name Hester!!! (and quit calling me Shirley)

My great grandmother and grandmother both had the middle name Mahala. It's Irish and I think it is so beautiful. If I had ever had a little girl I would have either named her Mahala or Lacey.

    *Hester???????*

And, Karenopa - I was just that close to sending out the search party for you.

LOL, 2p - maybe it is Zima. It's awfully close, though!

  28. Zuma is the computer game where beads go along a track and you have to click on matching colors before they get eaten.

Posted 3 years ago by myuvanc #

  29. I agree..Hester???? that is also way to close to Fester (Adams Family).. My grandmothers middle name was Primillia not Pricilla but close..I always liked that ..her first name was Minnie

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  30. Oh yea I know that game!!!
