  1. lol jcat at Jane. No worries...I think if I named my baby Jane my mother would come back to Earth and slap me. My dad wanted me to be named Jane and she said NO. That was his mothers name as well.

Thanks again everyone for the congrats and well wishes. :)

  3. Sarah Quinn Barker.

  4. SOM, Sarah was one of our choices about a month ago. Now hubby doesn't like it as much, but that can change as all of our choices have.
I would love to use Quinn, but without putting something of my mother in law's name in there, it could cause hurt feelings...family!!

  6. I just saw this, cricketsmama. Congrats on having another little girl. Just don't do what my parents did and name her after a cat ;)

(I kid you not — my parents were expecting a boy, not a girl, so when I was born, they didn't have a name for me and inadvertently named me after a cat they had at the time.)

  7. That's funny Catherine, last night Ron suggested the name Catherine, so they could call her Cat for short!

  8. I suggested Kitty in the dr's office after we found out it was a girl.
My niece is Catherine. I like that name, but don't want two Catherine's.

  11. Hey quick question? Hav you bought a baby book of names? If not I recommend it! You look through write your top 10 names/name combos then have hubby do his, see what names you both pick and aim for their or read the names of your choices aloud and see if you hear something you like! My Sister did that on the last one abigail, but the butthead and I were talking names and I said if I have a girl some day I will name her either, Arieonna, Abigael or Evangeline, she goes Abigail is nice and nothing more until I show up at the hospital, Aunty I want you to meet Abigail Elaine! I was in awwwww mode cause she was too cute, but afterwards I did tell her she was a buttface for taking my name hehehe, but then chances are slim i will have kids anyways so at least the name got to be used in our family!

  12. LV, I have 4-5 baby name books from when we had Madeline. I keep looking..but it sucks to go through the entire alphabet.I prefer books with lists..much easier. We are thinking about Abigail though...

  13. Naming a baby is a difficult, challenging and important thing to do. They will have that name forever - unless they go to court and change it - and it needs to fit the child. Some parents take a week or better after the baby is born. In other cultures there is one person in the family, an older person, whose responsibility it is to name the child.

Forget about finding a name that no one can tease them about. It will happen no matter WHAT name you choose! I thought I was safe naming my son Dylan. Nope... he became known as Dyl-pickle. *sigh*
