Isn't the way things are these days, SM? Give me back the good old days. When I was a kid, the neighborhood mothers, kicked your butt for doing something wrong, told your mom or dad, and then they kicked your butt for screwing up to begin with. With no fear, there is no consequences. These are the times we live in today. I wish you well.

I remember those days!! You mess up at school, your teacher gets you, the principal gets you, and your parents know and are waiting at home to get you! And all you did was tell another student they were being an a$$. Okay not appropriate language but I got my butt whipped more than once and I never did it again!! Now the kids routinely call these names to their teachers, let alone other students!!

Yes, SM, remembered the day "s" got my butt beat in the principals office in middle school as they call it now. My parents knew my misbehavior and gave their blessing. Do I necessarily agree with it now, to a point, but society has changed it's opinion on corporal punishment. I will say, I didn't like it as a kid, from school or home, it gave me some scars physically and mentally, but I turned out ok. Just my opinion. I think we need to go back to that time with some modifications. These kids today are totally out of control and us as a society are paying the price. Wish I had the answer. Thanks for the input.

Hey mama, SM I say teachers should be provided with paintball guns and if I child gets out of line they have to stand up and get paintball ohhhhhhh 5 times in the behind area, that will sting and well sitting will be a problem but they will remember, second time they go to the office and get paddled then paintballed, the more offensive the crime or disrespect the more paintballs shot at your behind!
For many only once will work for others well eventually they'd learn!

Night Lynn--taking advice from you and packing it in. My ankle is killing me!! I know he said this would be better but I hurt.
LV I'm all for the paintball gun--those pellets hurt but are so much fun!!
Security asked for tasers and were told no--afraid they'd use them on a kid. Yet (this is so funny!) they are installing a defibrilator with no lock and it will be in the hall. Now I know the machine must detect if a person is shockable but if there is a will a student will find a way. How long til the little urchins figure out how to shock someone? Hope it isn't me!! Can hear it now--too much homework take her out now!!

Thanks KK. Found out I broke my foot. It is already healing and I will have spurs but he says that isn't my big problem so he has one foot trussed up like a Thanksgiving Day turkey and the other au naturale to see if I notice a difference. I have to be like this for 5 days. Don't need 5 days!! 5 minutes and I knew the difference. Tie up both feet and now! I go back next week. Until then it will be the limp and run through the halls. What a sight that would be!! Would lend to a great end of year story. Our talented and gifted students had a CSI unit with an arsonist at school. I was the one that called the police and saved the school from burning to the ground. You ask any of the kids all they remember is I was the number one suspect and several still think I am an arsonist! Gotta love my kids!

I didn't leave work until 9:15pm this evening. I wrote a 12 page opinion letter deciding all the issues in a divorce case so I can start my mini-vacation tomorrow. Whew!!
My workmates surprised me with an early birthday party. One of our court reporters plays the accordian. She called me on the telephone and played me the birthday song on it! lol

We are going to Ashland, Oregon to watch some plays at the Shakespearean Festival with our best friends. We'll be back this weekend. Our friends are a blast to spend time with so I am looking forward to this. :)
