Eeeexxxceeeelleeeennnnt....

  1. My boyfriend was out of town last night. So I had Honey all to myself. Luckily my mom and my sister came over and kept her up most of the afternoon. So when it was time for me to go to bed, Honey-Bear only wandered about long enough to find a comfy spot to rest her little butt!

And the "Eeeexxxceeeelleeennnt" part of all this is that from my bedroom she went to her bathroom to use the litter box all on her own!!! YAY!!!

And also. She was super attacking her toy mouse last night when I noticed one of it's eyes is missing. Since she wasn't meowing in pain and was still playing, I figured she would be able to pass it through to poopies. I checked her morning poop, since she was even able, I figured she would be just fine. AND THEN, I found the toy eye in the carpet. And this is what it looks like:

Thank God she didn't actually swallow it!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Yikes!! They shouldn't put something like that in a pet toy, imagine the outcry if it was in a child's toy?????

I like the eeeexceeellleennt!! - I like having my monsters all to myself too! :-)

  3. Wow...that could have really hurt her..I think I would remove the other eye just in case..but so glad you and Honey had a nice night together..

  4. Definitely a big Ouch on that one! Always a good idea to examine the parts of toys when choosing them. If you know there are harmful parts...just remove them yourself as a precaution. :)p.s. Honey is such a little cutie!

  5. I didn't think they eyes could get pulled out so easily. The mouse was a gift, sort of an "i'm sorry" from her Grammy Cindy. We took Honey-Bear over to my bf's parents house, and they had stupid little pommeranians that wanted to sniff the hell out of her, but wouldn't stop jumping and barking.

Next time I get her a mouse toy though it'll definately be eye-less.

  6. Myuvanc...anytime I buy the fuzzy mice with eyes like that,I just pull them out myself & toss them out. Bad judgement on the designers, but, the kitties just love the fuzzys & never miss the eyes. Plus you don't have to worry about scooping thru the poopies for the eyes. lol

  7. LOL! It would be quite disconcerting to have a cat poop looking at you! Honey is so cute looking in your gravatar.

  8. Wow, that is a scary piece of an eye! Glad she didn't swallow it. Definitely pull out the other one. I am going home tonight to inspect my cat's toys.

  9. OMG!!! Thank god!! I haven't seen a toy that has that type of part on it. My mice have tiny felt eyes and I find them missing all of the time. Holy cow!! That is not good... I am very happy your kitty didn't swallow that.

  10. Question for everyone... What about the tails of the mice? When I first starting buying mice, I realized after Suki was playing with one..the tail was missing afterwards!! So, from then on, I always cut the tails off before giving her the mice. They were about 3-4 inches long of felt material. Would that be safe if she chewed it off?? I always wondered if other people did this when the bought toy mice...

  11. I think it is a good idea to cut off any dangly parts of a toy that a kitty plays with independantly. I crocheted a cat tunnel and had the leftover yarn dangling. Honey loved it, but my bf reminded me to cut it off because she would most likely chew it off and try to eat it.

  12. Oh, and to add on to todays exceeeelence!
We were downstairs watching tv and playing. Honey-Bear went upstairs on her own two different times just to use her litter box. YAY!!!

I have an extra litter box downstairs just in case, but she doesn't seem too interested in it. It has a different litter type too. Hope my bf doesn't get mad that I made him get another litter and box and she doesn't even like it!!

  13. Better safe than sorry I always say! Glad to hear Honey-Bear went upstairs to do his business...I was dealing with the same thing with Romeo. But I havent provided a litter box on the 1st floor. No accidents yet... But he is pooping in Suki's box!! Hopefully she isn t upset by it :o)

  14. It certainly makes life easier when you are not chasing your baby around the house making sure she's not going potty on the nice clean carpet! =)
