    The nearest town is Chartres so it's sort of western central France (ish). We were invited to have lunch with the people who own the castle and to watch the Fete de la chasse.

    You'd rattle around too much in a castle, miu...and think how cold it would be in the winter! Although, there would beaucoup de room for kitties!

    I haven't been to the cathedral for more years than I care to remember. I was only 20 at the time - same age as my daughter is now!
    The interior of the castle is like entering a time warp. I don't think anything has changed inside since about 1800 (including the curtains which were dusty and faded). It has heating as well as open fires, and it has proper plumbing, but all the furnishings, paintings, carpets etc have been there forever!

    Still working on trying to win the lotto. I won $1..oh boy..I am rich....not! Had to spend $5 to win that lousy $1!
