  3. This sanctuary is one of the most incredible places I've ever witnessed. As beautiful as it all seems I can't believe there aren't some problems that have just managed to escape the cameras but no doubt Angels walk among this woman and her friends. :D

  4. I know, Karen! We only have two little kitties and my husband swears that everyone of y'alls kitties comes through the worm hole to use our litter box!! Can you imagine a litter box for 700 kitties???

*calculates cost of scoopable litter and passes out.....*

  5. no, not really my house. Would be a dream though. I have seriously thought about setting up a sanctuary, without the adopting part. Don't think I could stand to let someone else get my babies. Anyway, between my parents' strays and my cats, there is only around 50 cats, not 500. Not sure I could come up with that many names. Having a hard time of that now. Now if only I could get paid to do that :)

  7. I have a friend in Stockton who visited the Cat House on the Kings once a few years ago. She said was expecting the whole area to smell like a cat box, but that there was very little smell. She did say there were many helpers there and that they all seemed very busy. I don't know if they are volunteers or paid employees (or both).

Not that it's a job I would want, but if you were scooping cat boxes for 6-8 hours a day, you could probably stay ahead (or at least even) with the kitty output.
