  1. We have 3 names that we like for a first name so far but not sure about any one of them. Can I get everyones opinion? Middles names pending...

    1. Natalie
    2. Ella
    3. Meredith

    Our last name is Barker.

  3. I like Ella. That was my grandmother's name. Ella Marie.

    CM - I didn't know what your last name was. Now I keep thinking of Ma Barker.

  8. we like Reese and Kate for middle names and then Wayne threw out Ella Therese the other day and I liked it. So I think the middle will depend on the first.

    lol HM. I think of that too or Bob Barker.

  10. Lets try a few combinations on for size. Meredith Kate sounds good. Same with Natalie Reese. A variation Ellie Reese sounds good as does Ella Therese

  11. I guess I am for Meredith. Natty and Maddie I don't care together but Merri and Maddie, ok fine for me!

    So, Meredith Reese or Meredith Kate. What is Maddie's real full name?

  12. Natalie Barker sounds very, very nice when you say it all together. Names should be considered in the context of the surnames they will be precede.

  13. Maddie is Madeline Paige

    I don't like Nattie either...I told Wayne that her name would be Natalie. period, no nickname.
    Same with Meredith...we don't like any nicknames with that name either.
    Ella could be Ellie....

  15. I still prefer Ella or Ellie..I just keep thinking of neighbor kids singing of the others Merri and Maddie or Natty and Maddie..you know how kids can be!!

  16. I think I am leaning towards Ella..classic name like Madeline....Wayne I think is leaning for Natalie, but he is more unsure.
    Heck a week from now we could come up with a whole different batch of names. Ella was just thrown out there on Monday at the zoo..

  17. Have you thought about Elise? It is such a clasic name that goes well as a middle name. Meredith Elise, Natalie Elise. It can also be shortened to Ellie while she is little, but makes a beautiful name option for when she is grown up. Meredith Elise pairs well with Madeline Paige too.

  20. I like Meredith.... Meredith Reese. Ella Reese makes my mind go to Della Reese.

    The other names I heard or saw the other day that struck me were Sydnee (or Cydney) and Sierra.

  27. good point 2b!!!! Didn't go there, but now that you say that, it's something to think about.

    As for Quinn, I did bring that up as a middle name but he agreed that his mom might get a bit hurt if we did that for my mom and not her.
    So I think Quinn is out of the running. maybe she will be born on my mom's birthday which is Jan 7....that would be cool

  29. She doesn't understand it yet. I tell her there is a baby in my belly and that she will be a big sister and that she can be a big girl and help mommy and her little sister but she doesn't get it. Or if she does, she can't tell me

  30. I know many public librarys have books and videos that help explain it better to very young children...Let me check with my step-daughter I know she used a video she got from the library to help my grandson Caden to understand.
