This is a quiet cafe tonight... first night I can actually hang out and nobody here... and gosh, I just took a shower and everything! Guess I'll dry my hair and head to bed. If I get up in the middle of the night I'll slip on in and see who is here and who needs to be woken up! Maybe everybody hit the Bailey's real early and passed out! Good evening all! Just popping in to say good night. The days are getting much longer and I am exhausted!! Hope everyone is doing okay--not from the sounds of things. My prayers are with all Tdk family members. Teaser is home from the vet, but Deuter is still there and will be until Friday. Spa night didn't go so well. He is a mess. I went to the vet and held him tonight. He screamed when I put him back in the cage. I felt horrid for him. He needs to get the care necessary and come home healed. In the meantime I will try and get some rest--not so easy when my snuggle cat is not here!

They think he has a virus--very congested. This is a precaution. They are only open 1/2 day on Thursdays. The staff goes in the evening for the pets but the office is closed by noon that is why they said I have to wait until Friday. He did test negative!!!! to FeLV!!! and FIP!!! I am very happy both Teaser and Deuter didn't get it from Basil!! I don't know that I can handle going through that again so I am so thankful for the cat owners that deal with these viruses. Teaser's UTI is not clear. She is on round 2 of antibiotics. He thinks that she will be okay after this round--she was almost clear.

How wonderful that Deuter doesn't have FeLV and FIP!!! I'm glad Teaser seems to be responding to the antibiotics. You are due for a long stretch of happiness with healthy furbabies. Yay!!

Just popping my head in the door to say Hi briefly. Chatting with Airy, she and Jim-man have been to Brasilia today, it was a long day(Shadz & Bob went too). Winter has made a return here, rain,wind,cold,hail,thunder and sun. Four seasons in one day is quite common in NZ, there's even a song by Crowded House about it,(Four Seasons in One Day).

Good evening everyone, only here for a few mins, been a long day driving about 200 miles and just tired this evening. Thinking of turning in early tonight, already fed the colony kits, its lightly drizzling outside and I have been taking Benedryl to stop the itching mosquito bites.
Hope that everyone has a decent rest of the day no matter which hemisphere you are in.
MS, if you chat w/Airy and Jim-man again, wish them well for me and that they have a good flight/trip to California this week. Hope that your weather calms down, enough for you and HRH to get a good nights rest this evening.
SoxsMom, hope that lil Deuter and Teaser both feel better, and how is your daughter doing plus how are you feeling?

AZDEB, I use Benedryl also. I found some that comes in a tube that you can dab on your mosquito bites. It is the only thing I have found that relieves the itch! The little bloodsuckers love me so and the bites make such scars on me. Hope you are enjoying your vacation. Good night. :)

Have you tried the spray-on Calamine lotion? It actually works better than the Benedryl to stop the itch, ok not attractive but I hate having that lotion on my hands afterwards. Vacation is almost done, of course didn't accomplish everything I wanted but I rested. Good night :)

It's 10.30 p.m. NZ time, no activity here for 3 hours and I can hardly keep my eyes open so time to close Night Shift ,so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV, & Tigger begin....good job everyone & bless you...
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows shut for Northern and Southern TDKers, the weather is so unpredictable in the in between seasons.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Erin and Jim-man they had a grand day out in Brasilia. Goodnight to all our family and friends of TDK. Wishing good health and spirits to all those in need and in our hearts, and keep our TDK family safe...blessed be... >^..^<
