What an absolutely gorgeous cat. I hope that someone takes care of that beautiful coat, even if he’s going to be living in a barn. Sorry your mother got a fright, Buttons; I know that feeling all too well.

Sorry bloody predictive text… I ment to say she wasn’t badly hurt just a nasty scratch… The neighbour really cares well for the two he already has and I gave him a few of my spare combs so he can give him a groom once or twice a week.. Also gave him baby powder to help with the grooming but he knows he only needs to sprinkle that on once a month.. HeTysons coat will definitely be more cared for now than it was I spent a half an hour today cutting out old mats obviously from last years winter coat…

I also gave the neighbour some L-lysine for his weepy eye and that will keep his coat in excellent condition too.

Its such a shame he was neutered so late he would have been an amazing lap cat but he’s too unpredictable

Buttons – I have a question about L-lysine. I see there are others that use it too. My Mili is indoor only and healthy – as far as I can tell anyway. What are the benefits to L-lysine in an otherwise healthy cat?

Happy mom wasn’t badly hurt, just a bit shaken. Aww, handsome Tyson…be nice to the peeps who care for you! (Yup X-strays/ferals can be unpredictable, takes time for them to mellow.)

Well it keeps their coat in amazing condition … You’d notice a different in Their coat after a week or two off use. It also helps slightly under weight cats to gain weight and is great for a cats immune system and its also known to promote good eye health.. I first started using it when I discovered Buttons had feline Herpes he was 3 months old at that time and I noticed improvement within days!

I then continued using it when he tested positive for a FeLV along with D-mannose and Mega C plus all to help boost his immune system so he would be better equipped to fight off the virus… Which he did :))

D-mannose is a great thing to add to your cats diet if they have a history of urinary tract infections it helps clear the urinary tract of any blockage it clings to crystal build up and clears it from the tract which mean there is never anything for bacteria to build up behind and cause infections…

Thanks for the great info on L-lysine & D-mannose Commune. Saved this to my faves!

Tyson is so lovely, buttons. I hope he has a happy life.

2 pop, L-lysine specifically fights the feline herpes virus. It keeps it from being able to multiply well. We use it at our house because Leo and Eko show signs of struggling with the herpes virus (occasional kitty colds and Eko has a very occasional weepy eye.) But I would not use it for a healthy cat who is not being exposed to unhealthy cats. No need really. From what I’ve read and what my vet says it does not give the immune system a general boost….just a boost in fighting feline herpes.

Thanks Buttons and ECB ! Since she is healthy, I’ll just leave her be.

Tyson is beautiful. I am sure he is frustrated at being restrained and will hopefully settle in well when he gets to his new home.

I hope he settles too KK…. He’s a young cat he deserves a good life at least he’ll get regular grooming now.. Still haven’t seen any posters up or had anyone ask questions about him.. The neighbour was mad about him when he seen him…:)

Buttons, Tyson is absolutely gorgeous and looks even more like our late Sharp. Sorry about your Mam being attacked, we had a year of that when Mum took on an older cat. They have worked things out now and are inseparable. Tyson, you’ll have a good life now, just remember to stay there.
