  2. Goodnight, Lynn. Yup, I had a cheesesteak sandwich for dinner! It was soooo good!!

    I love the Neverending Story too. What a great fantasy with a great moral about the world needing hope to survive. Pete's Dragon was the first movie our kids saw in a theater. :)

  8. My hubby is so jealous--Philly cheesesteak is his favorite sandwich!! When he took his Dad he said being in Philly having a cheesesteak was the best!!!

  9. Evening everyone, just came in from pulling more weeds in the backyard. That will be taken care of during the first week of October, without causing damage to the wildlife outside (lizards, wild birds, and the kitten who lives in the bush) and then a pre-emergent will be put down to avoid weeds for the next 6-9 months, yea!!!! I won't get ate up by mosquitos any longer, so its worth it.

  10. And the news weather people say we (AZ) won't get any rain from Ike but maybe from the next one that starts with L....need a raindance or something here, it doesn't rain nearly enough up here in Tucson.

  21. Phew, we must have chatted for over an hour. They leave in less than 24 hours, but after that I get confused with all the time zones. They pass through Dallas/Ft Worth and arrive at LA at 9.55am then off to their new home.

In Calif they will be on the same time zone as me until daylight savings time ends (should be October or November) then they would be an hour behind me....right now I am 19 hours behind you ~ its 8:15 p.m. here on PST (Pacific Standard Time). Right now Dallas/Ft Worth is 2 hours ahead of my time until the time change (AZ is one of the few states that never changes time)
