G'night SMM....
Well went out fed the colony kits, its raining lightly but consistently at least (maybe enough to soak the ground even)....think since its my last night before returning to work tomorrow, I am going to see if I can get to sleep this evening.
MS, if I wake up in a bit will be back on.
Question for anyone, has anyone seen Tigerlilly lately?

It's 10.00 p.m. NZ time, no activity here for 4 hours ..... so time to close Night Shift ,so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV, & Tigger begin....good job everyone & bless you...
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box
check - windows shut for Northern and Southern TDKers, the weather is so unpredictable in the in between seasons.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Erin and Jim-man, they leave Brazil tomorrow and head for LA to start their new life there. Continued thoughts for Cheri's recovery and Deuter's too.

Good point about Tigerlily, I haven't seen her for at least a week. Was she going away or am I mixing her up with someone else. Hmmm, maybe someone else can help.

MS, yep it did and I didn't even yell, lol. I don't remember if she was going anywhere or not and its just not usual for her to even pop in when she could. Don't have an email for her otherwise I would have checked.

Morning! Evening!
Just got up, actually got some sleep last night. Time to feed the kits and get some coffee or tea. It's raining pretty good here today already. It's dark, quiet and I love it.
Please say a little prayer that Maddie is done with her diarrhea..poor baby was so bad yesterday. She did eat dinner(after not eating all day since she vomited over grandmas) so that was promising :)
Such talk so early in the morning....sorry...Okay Fred is letting me know he is wasting away..will be back in a bit.

Morning/Evening Deb and CM. Just fired off an email to you Deb. Gald it rained, wonder if we could film SM doing her rain dance and sell it on ebay? Could make a fortune. I'm sitting here with a mug of Earl Grey green tea surfing the net as usual. Once I've finished my tea I'll probably head off to bed, Shadz is in her usual spot.
CM, poor wee Maddie, and her poor Mummy too. We always stuck to bland and dry foods when we have the same complaint as Maddie. You've got to admire how a cat be wasting away but if the food isn't to their liking they will turn their backs on it.

MS, thanks got her addy that helps a lot :) The tea idea with toast sounds like a plan for me too, it just stopped raining a bit ago. All the kits are lying around still sleeping or being half-asleep (knock on wood). Scritches to HRH while she is upside down sleeping. Lol, cats have that way of just convincing you that they are wasting away (@ 15-20 lbs mind you) so you try to find something to 'their' liking.
CM, would oatmeal and toast calm her tummy down if its still upset this morning?

That's what I am going to try to give her this morning Deb. Oatmeal and some toast. She would not eat anything yesterday then when we went to grandmas, grandma fixed her an egg and she ate it then it came right back up, then the other started. She was acting fine though, but poor baby, you can tell she was just a mess. She did eat dinner of some mac and cheese and buttered bread. So I hope she is feeling better. She is still sleeping, which she needs, she woke up from her nap so early yesterday because she pooped while napping. She was so upset about that.
MS, in case I miss you, Have a good night. Scritches for HRH.
Poor Fred, I got to him just in time, he might have wasted away to under 20lbs. :)

Morning Renee, thanks for that. In this group there is normally someone who knows someone elses email and can check. The system works quite well, unless they are away from their computer as Cheri was. We like to keep track of out littermates. Ohhhh, oatmeal and toast, that's my breakfast in about 10 hours with a coffee.

I used to eat oatmeal(porridge) as a kid but haven't for years but because of my diet change I've taken to eating it again and love it. Shadz loves it too and even likes the organic yoghurt with bush honey that I put on it. All this talk of wasting away cats is making me think I'll have to weigh Shadz. Now that I'm not too scared to step onto the scales I think I'll do it in the morning.

I know Deb, you would think animal welfare would be here. These poor babies. They have only 2 litter boxes, 2 bowls of water, 3 bowls of hard food and get fed only 2x a day with canned. loves and scritches too. We are just horrible people.

CM, I hope Maddie gets to feeling better. When I felt like that, I used to eat crackers, chicken noodle soup or toast, sometimes oatmeal or cooked rice cereal.

Mine would tell you the same, lets see 4 litter boxes, 5 bowls of water, 6 bowls of various dry cat food, separate plates morning and night of their wet food, scritches galore, birds to watch cuz Mum buys big ole bird blocks for their entertainment, poor things.

Think I am going to go lie back down for a bit, eyes still are fuzzy this a.m. and figure I have to work tonight. So its back to the fun fun, joy joy but at least its the midnight shift until mid-October and then its dayshift for 3 months (that will be an adventure all by itself). So will be back in a little while, MS you will probably have taken those steps to your bed for the evening, sleep well and wake up refreshed for your weekend.

toys AND nip Deb. They even have a window seat that is just theirs that I put a old comforter on so they can snuggle and look out, they can lay where ever they want, we have a cat post with a place to lay on it right in front of the big window and I open it up so they get all the fresh air and see outside. It's horrible. Your kitties and my kitties could write a book on how bad parents we are.
Let us know how they are MS, I am sure you will hear from Airy before we do. i am concerned about Ike.
I got an email from Target saying they shipped out part of the stuff I got for Airy too yesterday. So now I am a bit worried it will be there before they will be. I hope not.

cm, the stuff from Target should get there somewhere around the time they get there if it was shipped yesterday. Since they get there this weekend and nothing is delivered on Sunday they should be safe enough. Ok off now for a nap, veg for a bit and relax while you can.
