   I too am too far away, didn't someone list all the no-kill shelters within Oregon this past week? I can't remember who posted the list for you elaine, but it was quite a few of them. Wish my memory was better today, but still half-asleep....can anyone remember?

   Elaine will they let you take at least one of them with you? Some assisted living facilities will allow one cat.

   It was posted by MerD... here it is again. And yes, check if the facility will allow you to keep one. Several of the places I checked into for my Dad allowed residents to keep an animal. One facility had 3 'house' cats and 2 dogs. So, please, do check. I, too, am too far away to help.

   Here is a list of TRUE no kill shelters accross the united states. There are quite a few in Oregon, if all else fails, perhaps you can get some help from them. The web site has direct links fo many of these shelters.
