  1. National Feral Cat day is October 16. Please check out www.alleycat.org.

I read this yesterday and my first thought was of Elaine in York and the TDK family. There are so many people here who help the cats and kittens in need. Head bonks, sandpaper kisses and big purrs.

To all the TNR workers, volunteers and advocates THANK YOU so very much for the concern, time, caring and love you give to these cats and kittens.

Here is a story on our group of downtown cats. I have been lucky enough to have lunch with a couple of them.

  3. Thank you for sharing this article. Should be a "must read" for all the communities that insist TNR does not work. Can you imagine what the area would be like now if TNR hadn't been done?

  5. I drive up to Cambria a couple times a year so I pass through SLO.
Whereabouts are these darlings? I'd love to stop and say "hello" next time I pass through.
    Thanks, Caroline

  6. Hi Caroline-The cats were by the Mission in downtown SLO. When we would have lunch on the patio of any of the restaurants along the creek, a cat or two would hang out. I didn't know their story until I read the article. I think the cats are mostly gone now.

Next time you are up this way, please let me know. Fiala's has a fabulous creme brulee vanilla bean cheesecake.

  11. Thanks for the great story. Seems to me if students added to the population back then, there would always be some newcomers there.
    Emma LOL TMI please!
