   ok, I know I shouldn't have laughed...but it was FUNNY!!! Why do cats always do the "hit it hard and then back away" thing? and yes, I had it turned up too much at first! Thanks Arcalian! :)

   Linda, I think they hit like that cuz that's what they do to wear down cornered prey. Could be wrong though.

   hahaha..my Shadow does that..from anywhere in the apartment, she can hear the tiny "click" of the printer being turned on...she sticks one paw in the output tray and uses the other one to smack each paper as it comes out...
   Needless to say, there have been many many many paperjams!!
