Waiting is hard to do, isn't it? I'm glad Max Max is showing no signs of illness. He is quite the dynamo!

Hi, Everyone. We had friends over for dinner and I have just finished the dishes. Off to bed with me, I think. We are spending tomorrow at the AirSho here in Midland. It is always fun.
Sweet dreams, All!

It's 2.48 a.m. AZ time, no activity here for 5 hrs, still here while working but in case I forget or it gets busy... going to close Night Shift ,so here goes gratis Moonshadow, LV, & Tigger begin....good job everyone & bless you...
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows shut for Northern and Southern TDKers, the weather is so unpredictable in the in between seasons.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Erin and Jim-man as they settle down with furniture thanks to CBM's extremely kind and thoughtful help. Healing energy for Cheri's continued recovery,Max-max after his spa visit, and any other TDK kitties or humans who may need it.

Evening/morning/afternoon, that should cover our time zones nicely.

LOL, yep that it should do, and between the 3 of us right now we have all the time zones covered. How was your day? Saw the cool pics of Airy and Jim-man.

Had yet another beautiful spring day. I've been plotting and planning to construct and raised garden bed but hubby said buy a kit set one. It will help tidy up an ugly patch of ground and give me more room for vegetable growing. It also comes with a frame and cover for winter growing. Very quiet day on the whole.

The gardening plot sounds good and at least it will be well thought out. Keep waiting for the cooler weather here. Watching the space shuttle in Florida, guess it on stand-by right now so who knows when it will actually lift-off.

I hadn't even realised the Shuttle was due to go up, I normally keep an eye on when it's 'flying'. One day I would love to see the Shuttle lift off, but unless we win lotto I can't see that happening.

I didn't know either until they started to show the launch site in Florida on tv. Love to watch them myself, we usually can see them when they fly over while landing but not the take-offs from here in AZ. But they do usually have both take-off/landing on CNN or FoxNews.

One of my favourite past times on a warm night is to lie outside at night watching satellites and sometimes the ISS passing overhead. When we were first married we lived on the edge of a the largest lake in NZ and after the days work was done we would head to the lake. Mr MS would trout fish until the wee small hours and I would read until it was dark and watch the sky. Because we were a long way from any city the sky was clear from light pollution and stunning to look at.

I love doing that or did until I moved to Tucson, in the southeastern portion of the state the sky was so full of stars, when the meteor showers came it was great. Used to lie on my roof and watch the meteor showers and sometimes fell asleep while doing that. I can still see quite a few stars to the south of my current house, no lights to distort any of it. There are a couple of great astronomy towers (Kitt Peak for example) but the roads are treacherous to drive at night up the mountain. The University of Arizona is well known for developing and assisting with the Hubble and other mirrors for the stars. We can see the ISS when it passes overhead too, always nice to watch.

Morning CM and evening jcat! Lol jcat love that you wouldn't recognize a satellite if it fell on your head, heck half the people here wouldn't either. Don't know if I can see the Southern Cross from here, hmmmm.

Hi Jcat, satellites are the 'shining star' that slowly but surely moves across the sky as you watch. Check out what is visible on here

Hi CM, when did you sneak into the NS office. Is your throat any better?
Posted 3 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #
-
The throat finally got better late last night but now I have a nasty head cold.
Everything was running last night and then my nose got all stuffed up and now only my eyes are watery. I had maybe 2 hours of sleep. I tried to sleep on the couch so I didn't keep Wayne up by blowing my nose. I was miserable. Now I am in bed resting. I just don't want to get Maddie sick.Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #
