Getting that itch again....

  1. OK so yesterday when I was working (I'm a hairstylist) One of our regular customers popped in for a couple mins, saying she had something to show us... and lo and behold, she opened up her purse and out popped a little kitten head!!! *sigh* (I just want to add, her purse was very very big, so it had plenty of room as a baby pet carrier, lol)

Me and one of my co-workers, who is also kitty-krazy, lol, we literally squealed with delight, this furball was SO ADORABLE!!! Our customer didn't know exactly how old it was, but I estimated about 5-6 weeks old. She didn't even know if it was a boy or a girl, so I had to do the honors and look, lol... it was a heathy boy! He was tabby and white markings, like my Gabby (see my gravatar teehee) but a little bit more white on him.

She had gotten him for either her mother or her mother in law, I can't remember... but her father (or father in law, whatever it was) is terminally ill, and will be crossing over soon, and so she thought a little furbaby would help ease her lonliness when that time (unfortunately) comes.

WELL, you just KNOW I couldn't resist holding the little furball, and he had a set of lungs on him for such a little guy... he kept letting out these mews, lol, he was adorable. I held him against my chest and he snuggled up in the crook of my neck... OMG I about died from the cuteness!!! And he was as happy as a clam, purring like a chainsaw, lol... but alas, it was shortlived, cuz I had to give him back, and then he started mewing at the top of his lungs, I don't think he wanted me to let him go! He was so happy snorgling... And I was just as happy to let him do it, lol...

    *sigh*

It's only going to be a matter of time... ;)

  4. I don't go to the pet food store on the weekend because of the cat adoptions. I want to take them all home! It is just torture to see them in the cages. Poor kitties.

  5. Sloopy's getting broody!!

I'm exactly the same. I'm sure Chris dreads the day when a stray crosses my path and I turn up at home with cat no. 5...

  7. I had to stop at my veternarian's last week and they had kittens. Cute little kittens two siamesey ones that someone left in a box near a ditch that she bottlefed and two others who were so fluffy and sweet and full of kitten tricks. It was hard to get out of there without at least one of them. Problem is really small house, 3 cats and no room for another litter box. :(

  9. Honey, remember: Kittens are like potato chips. No one can take just one.

And that saying is not original. It is printed on a sweatshirt my friend Crickett gave me last night, and right now my second cat, Ruggles, is curled up on it.

  12. I think we would all be crazy cat ladies (and gentlemen) if we didn't have that little tiny voice nagging at us "be reasonable, be mature". If I ever figure out where that voice comes from, it's toast.
