*sigh*.... Gatakitty, I know that quote is plastered everywhere at A&M but actually the belief is that Patton never said that. Of course, this was a man who could not find the library at West Point, which is why his statue has faced the front of the library for many years. Currently he's in storage as a new library has been built. Common belief at West Point is that he wouldn't be able to find that one either.

Hmmmmm - *Takes stock of inventory and decides on the AH-64D Longbow Apache helicopter. Sneaks into hanger, quickly reads instruction manual due to complete ignorance of how to actually fly a Longbow, and lifts off.... through the roof. No problem - this baby is tough!!!*
The AH-64 Apache helicoptor is a heavy division/corps attack miltary helicopter. The Apache helicoptor remanufacture effort incorporates a millimeter wave fire control radar (FCR), radar frequency interferometer (RFI), fire-and-forget radar-guided HELLFIRE missile and cockpit management and digitization enhancements. The combination of the FCR, RFI, and the advanced navigation and avionics suite of the aircraft provide increased situational awareness, lethality and survivability.

*Hollers at 2bp to jump in and promotes her to door gunner. Briefly wonders if maybe, just maybe 2bp knows how to fly this thing?*

WWM, not only is the Warthog known as a tank-killer (thus the wise reconsideration of your weapon of choice), it was also designed to RTB safely with both wings damaged, the tail stabilizers gone and the hydraulics and one engine out. It is also the only aircraft in the inventory that has to worry about bird strikes from the rear (old AF joke about the hog's speed--or lack thereof).
Good luck keeping me in your sights long enough. If you slow down enough to lock on and fire without passing me, you just might stall, and if you hover, you'll probably run out of fuel!

Well, to quote Bill Cosby (loosely) "What do you mean when you say 'oops'??? I know what I mean when I say 'oops'!!"

*wonders if Gatakitty is speaking English?*
Actually, there was an A-10 demo team here this past weekend for AirSho. Isn't there like some age limit for flying that thing? Those guys were maybe 12 and 13 years old. I knew that recruiting was an issue, but really!

*quietly peers through the wormhole and sees that Gatakitty appears to be napping. Slips into the room with a tool box full of face paint. Smiles serenely at Gatakitty, pulls out paints and proceeds to paint her from tip to toe in black, gray and gold paint. For extra embellishment, paints a huge golden A on Gatakitty's chest. Steps back to admire work and then silently (although snorting hysterically) slips back out......*
