I Need A Hero

(22 posts)
  1. Last month I started a section on my site to pay tribute to heros. I mean people who deal with animals. Ordinary people, doing extraordinary things on behalf of animals. There are large organizations who get lots of credit and publicity but there are more regular people who do a lot as well and never think of being repaid or recognized. They go about their business and do as much as they can for animals. They deserve to be recognized.

Our first Hero was a woman in England who has a farm for abandoned animals. October is coming up and its time to nominate a new Hero for the month.

It doesn't have to be someone who does anything grand or huge. It can be someone as ordinary as you for instance who is forever taking in stray animals or raising funds for a shelter. If you know of anyone, could be a neighbour, relative, some one you don't know personally but have heard about and feel they should be appreciated for what they do, please nominate them for the Hero Hall of Fame.

You can do so through this url:

Thank you everyone. I appreciate it.

  11. I vote for KM. I mean, how else would we have all met, bonded and became a family without his help and guidance?

  12. Well I am glad to see you thinking about it. Pleaase go to the webpage and submit the person or persons you think meets the criteria. It could very well be a TDKer who ends up being our October hero. Great stuff guyes.

  13. At the urging and prompting of my friend 2b *hi Julie* I decided to submit a story albeit short, which speaks to Susie and her efforts. Words don't suffice as we all know and there are so many people here who have done so much. I only hope my words give her justice.

  22. That was quite the video. Now if I could figure out a way to substitute the women prancing around in white dresses for cats, I would really have something spectacular.

Something tells me that Miss Tyler would have an issue with copyright though. Sheesh, they have a horse in that video, why not a cat?
