I swear, the older I get, the more insidious advertising seems to get. Or, am I just off-center?

Nope, you aren't off center. My husband and I lately look at each other after some commercials and say, "Huh?" Uh, what was just advertised?????? The best are the commercials with little kids, babies, and animals in them. No talking. Blah, blah-blah, blah-blah, blah-blah! I love your web-page Vicki.

I haven't seen the commercials but thanks for posting the links to those articles. There is hardly anything you can buy anymore that doesn't have HFCS in it! I don't mind when I am buying "junk food" but spaghetti sauce, mayonnaise, you name it, it's in everything. Thanks for the update Vicki.

it wasnt too long ago that a study showed a correlation between the consumption of high fructose corn syrup and the likelyhood of developing diabetes. I think they are trying to fight back after that study came out. I dont know if the results ahve been repeated or not but its a very strong reason not to consume the stuff

I find sugar and corn syrup in my soups that I buy. It is awful and alot of wasted calories and carbs. I like my veggies WITHOUT sugar! I don't like sugar in my cornbread either. It is like my dad said, I don't like sugar in my cornbread, if I wanted sugar, I'd eat cake! :)

The only sugar is natural cane sugar. I will not purchase anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup. It is is in a lot of things that is scary.
