  2. Ah geez...just underscores the importance of teaching our young people how to treat all animals, big and small, with respect

  3. That is just terrible. I think that boy has serious problems. Zoo animals, especially rare ones, are very hard to replace.

  4. That is one sick child. He needs all kinds of counseling. What kind of seven year old even thinks to do something like this?

  5. Where was the parents while this child was out doing this? You have to wonder where he even got the idea to do something like this!!!!

  6. That child is sick and disturbed, so he can get away with this so when he is an adult he can kill more animals and even people. That's a sign when kids kill and harm animals...poor animals.

  9. its too bad he can not be held accountable, I think at the least he should be put ina juvenile facility because obviously his parents have no control, and I do hope the zoo sues the parents!

  10. I agree TKN the parents sould bear the blame, prosecution, lawsuit. It is their responsibility to raise and monitor their 7 year old.

  11. I have a sneaking suspision that they might have been trying to get help for their kid(though I dont know how services work in Australia) and not been able to get the help they need, or they could just be in complete denial about thier kids problems

  12. I think the latter, otherwise how would this kid have gotten out/away from them without their having a clue that he was not in their custody. The fact that this kid also bludgeoned animals to death does speak the he has severe problems and needs long term if not lifelong help.
