They didn't mention how cold it is here, though! It was 30 at my house this morning, and supposed to be about 25 Thursday morning. Brrrr - we thin-blooded folks can't stand too much of this!

GD, we will be there one week from this Sunday. I am thinking that I had better travel in my jeans so that I can wear some warmer clothes!

We had a major storm yesterday and rain and freezing rain predicted the rest to the week. Its the freezing rain that makes everything treacherous It should be a little warmer during the day but that melts everything and then we have lots of ice. I had family stuck in the Atlanta airport for a couple of days early this week because of the weather

CTR, that is my big fat boy, Sammy. Here is the full pic of the avatar. And then click on "older" to see what he looked like two years ago when we first got him when he meowed at our door as a skinny, hungry, stray kitten!

Yeah, he did find a great forever home, Feral. When we first adopted him, the maintenance man in the complex said, "Oh, you're adopting Crazy Cat?" He said the cat was crazy and ran around the complex all day and followed him around and made him laugh. Well, a few months after we took Sammy in, the maintenance man came in to fix something and he saw Sammy. I said, "Look at how big Crazy Cat got. This is the stray that we took in a few months ago." And he looked at Sam and he said very seriously, "That's not the same cat." And I laughed and said, "Yep, this is now Sammy. He has put on a bunch of weight and is full of fur!" He said, "Sammy, you're not slim and trim anymore!" hahaha!
And Sammy adores Atticus. He follows him around like Atticus is his mommy. It is so cute. Atticus usually deals with him just fine but now and then he gets irritated over Sammy being his constant shadow (he even sits next to the litter box while Atticus uses it!) and he will pop him in the face. And poor, dopey Sammy will lie on his back and show Atticus his belly. Very sweet, eh?

haha! He really is funny. I have to get some vids of him and post them. He coos constantly. He coos while he is playing and while he is being chased by one of the other cats, usually Emily (that bizzitch). And he especially coos when he is using the litter box. I refer to it as "whistling while he works." hahaha!

You can't blame Emily for wanting to keep the guys in line. Sammy sounds like a lot of fun. Does he like to cuddle?

No, CTR. I wish he did. He does not like to be picked up, either. I am guessing it is because he was quasi-feral until he came to us at almost a year old. He will sit next to us and he likes to be brushed on his head and especially on his furry neck and he will loudly purr, but he does not like to be held. I guess it's okay that he does not want to be a lap cat because he probably would bust my knee caps...haha!

My Sophie always liked to sit beside me, too. Now that she is elderly she likes to get on my lap she also likes to curl up on top of Smitty if he will allow it. Maybe its warmer for her that way.
