    I have a kitten with kitty flu. I started him on l lysine this morning. His symptons are sneezing, watery eyes.. he continues to eat and drink.. I crushed 500mg in his food.. Aproximently how long before I see results.. ie feeling better..

    Hi Mhaman … Well the symptoms you describe can be anything from cat flu to feline herpes… Its actually feline herpes that most you l-lysine for… Personally when I first used it on buttons when he was approx 3 months old I seen an improvement after 2 or 3 days… You need to keep him on L-lysine daily if its to work effectively against the feline herpes virus..

    If her symptoms precessed I would bring her to the vet as she may need antibiotics..

    My Luna started improving after about a month on the l-lysine… She is really unhealthy and her herpes is pretty bad, but if your kitty is otherwise healthy you will probably see improvement within a month. If its a bacterial infection, l-lysine won’t help without antibiotics.
