   My daughter and son-in-love just found out that they've been chosen to be the adoptive parents for a 23-month-old girl named "Lovely." We are elated to be grandparents for the first time. They get to call her foster home and talk to her tonight, meet her in person next Thursday and bring her home the following Monday. Yippeeeeeee!!!!!!! :D

   As soon as I saw her photo and learned her name, I knew she was the one for them. Thirty years ago, we proudly announced our daughter's birth. We included the lyrics to this song to describe our joy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K311FKvGd98

   Thanks for the congrats. I've been grinning from ear to ear all afternoon (very hard to keep a straight face in court).

   WWM, Lovely is in a foster home about two hours from Eugene. She's been there since she was two days old. Our daughter has always wanted to adopt rather than have her own biological children. She's going to be a GREAT mom! :)

    The tears are streaming down my face!!! Of course she is Lovely!! Oh I am so happy for your daughter and your son-in-law!! This is such wonderful news to celebrate!!!

    Hugs right back atcha SM and Mini SM! I had tears streaming down my face too when I listened to the Stevie Wonder song today. :D

    JCat, pics when we are able to get them. I've seen one photo of her on my daughter's cell phone. The State Dept of Human Services, Child Welfare Program has a secure website with photos of available children that only those who've successfully completed their home study can access.....and, darn it, it can't be copied. Lots of photos will be take when she gets to her new home.

    I have chill bumps all over!! KW Spring is a time of rebirth and regrowth--what a perfect time to recieve news that a perfect gift is about to be given--a child to raise and love!! That love will be given and received between you all!! VERY excited!! Your past 2 weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions--weddings, funeral, growth of family!! ENJOY KW!

    KW, This is such wonderful news! Lots of hugs and happy thoughts. You are going to be such a wonderful grandmother. I have enjoyed it so much and it is so much fun. The feeling I get when when Charles sees me and breaks into that huge grin is priceless. You have so much joy to look forward to! Happiness to you! A new little one is the best.
