    I feel like I've been hit on the back of the head with a happy whack-bonk stick. LOL

    We are all so thrilled and anxious to meet Lovely. Daughter and I spent the afternoon yesterday shopping for little girl clothes and things for her room. New car seat has been purchased.

    One of daughter's best friends drove up from San Francisco yesterday to host a baby shower at our house today. Just a few folks came, but it was fun. One of them brought her four-month-old with her.

    Daughter and son-in-love will be visiting and spending time with Lovely in her foster home and doing fun things with the family. Starting this Thursday they will visit each day for about four or five days before bringing her home. This will help her make the transition to her new home. It will be hard for little Lovely to be separated from the only home she's known in her 23 months. There are five foster children and three grown biological children of the foster parents living in the foster home. We will have to be gentle and patient with her to help her feel safe, loved and a part of her new family.

    Will keep you posted on how all of this progresses and photos as soon as we can get them. :)

    It's very good that she's only been in one foster home though. Because of the stability in her early life, there shouldn't be any attachment issues and I predict the transition will go smoothly.
