  5. Thanks JK! Success! I'm using the litter box all by myself now! Whew, that feels good to be able to finally say that. Still depend on the wheelchair for mobility and transfers with the walker, but hope to keep practicing my walking. And I have news on the home front. As you all know, I've been wanting to get back home to Dickinson ND to be near my mother and brother. But there are no vacancies in the assisted living facilities there. So I am staying in Billings MT (only a few miles from Laurel where I am now) for the time being, and have reserved a room in an assisted living place here. We plan to move my stuff in next Friday the 24th. I will have to rent or purchase furniture etc,(would cost too much at this time to ship my stored stuff over here) and don't really know if it will be a month, several, or forever! So on to a new phase of my life. It seems like a nice place and has a swimming pool, so that cinched the deal. Wish me luck, Littermates! (Billings is the biggest city in Montana.)

  9. PJ...this news literally made me cry. I've been so in need of a positive outcome from someone I care deeply about. Your post filled the bill. It's so nice to see the progress you've made.

  18. Thank you all for the kind words. I get to visit the place tomorrow, excited about that. Whoo hoo! This is going to sound wierd. But it's been so long since I've been home, seen family, that it actually feels easier to go to a strange place for a bit. As if I'm not ready to go home, face family....anyhoo I'm just as glad to be staying in Billings for a bit.

  19. Happy for you that you are moving forward...and there is a pool! Indoor I hope so you can use it year round. Aqua therapy will be such a good thing for you too. Sending you all good wishes for your new place!
