I had never owned a kitty, until one day I found my little Sox sitting on my doorstep. She was so tiny, only about five or six weeks old. I think SHE picked ME. She’s named Sox because of my favorite baseball team, the Chicago White Sox, and because she has white feet. Incidentally, after I found her, the White Sox went on to win the World Series that year (2005).

My mom saw one of the ferel cats on her farm taking kittens and dropping them on the other side of a fence. She grabbed this one before it was taking by the mother. Now we have to get him litter trained and eating kitty food and hopefully find him a good home.

Katie’s mom is a feral cat that lives on the property where I work. Mom and litter were caught to spay and neuter and find homes for the other litter mates. Mom is still at the property, but Katie, she’s a manx, just had to come home with me.

Immi and Norman came to live with us at the age of two months. They’re named after Imogen Heap (very cool singer) and Donald A. Norman (very cool cognitive scientist). Immi (right) is a cuddly princess and Norman (left) is a hyperactive guerilla warrior.

Loki was originally called Waffle at the shelter, but it quickly became apparent that he should be named after the Norse god of chaos and destruction, rather than a saccharine breakfast food. When he is not tearing furniture and people to shreds, Loki enjoys catnip, chasing after lasers, and climbing as high as he can possibly reach!

This is my new kitten Bunny. Yes, she is a cat named Bunny but she pulls it off. She absolutely loves being on my screened in porch and if there is a flowerpot anywhere she will dive right into it. She is so sweet and gentle; she will cuddle with anyone who walks in the door.

Oliver is a darling little boy who loves to play and purrrrrrrrrr!! This photo was when he was just a few weeks old, he’s now 15 weeks and is still just as cute and fun loving!
