Sammy
Location: New York, New York, USA

Hi my name is Sammy, and I don’t really know what breed I am since my human found me in the stairs of her apartment building. I am very cranky but even it out by having a belly that is a soft as a chinchilla’s butt!! I am also very rare as I am both a girl kitteh and a boy kitteh (much to the surprise of my human and the doctors). I like eating plants and catnip, I also enjoy biting toes!

Buckwheat
Location: Hancock, Maryland, USA

Buckwheat just started calling the bushes next to our garage home. She was only about 6 or 7 weeks old but very aggressive. As we walked down the path to our garage she would jump out and rush towards us like she was going to attack, get within 3 feet and then run back into the bushes. She finally got hungry enough to start eating the food we set out for her and eventually let us hold her.

Aslan
Location: Denton, Texas, USA

Aslan and three siblings first appeared in the woods behind my apartment complex around the beginning of the year. He (or she — I haven’t been able to catch the kittens yet to check) is the bravest of the four — and the biggest eater!

Landis & Butler
Location: Harwood, Maryland, USA

Landis and Butler, named after Josh Landis and Mitch Butler of CBS Sunday Morning, are brothers of Osgood. They were two days old when they were dumped with their mother. We agreed to foster the family until they found homes. A fourth brother (Mo Rocca) was adopted, but we couldn’t part with these wild boys. They have already settled in and become loved members of our family.

Gilly
Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA

This is my sweet new calico Persian kitten Gilly (named after Kristen Wiig’s Saturday Night Live character who is always up to mischief). She was a rescue from Winging Cat Rescue, Inc. in Griffin, GA where a wonderful foster mother nursed her and her sister back to health following a life-threatening bacterial infection. In addition to being the cutest kitten I have ever seen, she is also the most energetic. She chases her big brothers around the house constantly, runs ahead of them down the stairs every morning, and buries her head in their food bowls. And, despite receiving over fifty new toy balls and catnip mice over the holidays, Gilly somehow manages to bat every last one underneath appliances and furniture. A typical day in my house has me lying flat on my stomach using a long stick to retrieve these toys so she can lose them all over again within a few hours. She is an absolute delight to have around, and has filled my heart with so much joy. Even my two older boy cats seem to like her. Kissing her full belly while she purrs and nods off to sleep is the highlight of my day, while the highlight for Gilly is probably when I lift up the comforter and make a tent of it for her to climb underneath into and “camp out”. That pretty much sets her little purr motor going non-stop.

Chico & Max
Location: Houston, Texas, USA

These two brothers came into our lives after my husband had been in the hospital six months, AND we lost our two old kitties, aged 14 and 17, during that same time. It was a very tough time and these two boys have been our joy and delight and eased much pain. Chico is a cream and silver mix and Max is black, white and gray tabby stripped. Both boyz have some Maine Coon ancestory. They are devoted to each other, and to both of us and bring us joy every day with their antics!

Bonbon
Location: Limburg, The Netherlands

Little BonBon was a total surprise when he was born early November. We’d already rescued his mom and grandma more than a year before. His mom was on the list go and be spayed at the vet. But of course it was as if she knew what was about to happen and she (she’s an indoor cat) took off into our yard. It was glorious weather and she wasn’t easy to catch, it took a week. Things returned to normal again, at least it seemed so. I was then planning to take her to the vet along with a few older stray kittens I had been feeding and taking care off outside. But at the start of that week, mom BonBon hid herself in the attic and didn’t come down when it was dinner time. Very unusual! We went there to see what was up and who was there lying in an old armchair, although not entirely alone!? A tiny kitten lay against her stomach, squeaking. He’s now known as BonBon and as an only ‘child’ we immediately decided to keep him! His mom not being spayed was in this particular case a blessing in disguise! Wouldn’t want to miss him for the world, but when he’s old enough mom will go to the vet, that’s for sure!
But we’re enjoying our little smart cookie every day, he loves mischief and chasing his ‘uncle’ Dentje. But he also loves to cuddle and watching YT bird movies!
