Sedgefield
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

This little girl was making a lot of noise high up in the barn at the Sedgefield Horse Showgronds. Of course, this got the attention of a bunch of little girls that were showing their horses that weekend. So out of their concern, I climbed up into the loft of the barn and found this 4-5 week old kitten crying in a muck bucket. She was a fighter, hissing at first and standing her ground. Once hoisted down to a throng of oohing and awing girls, she quickly calmed down. This picture was taken just after she ate some Gerber’s chicken and rice baby food. She was quickly adopted to one of the visiting stables that wanted a new barn cat. I’m sure she will have a long and happy life patrolling her new barn for mice.

CoCo Casey
Location: Brooklyn, New York, United States

CoCo came into our lives shortly after our 12-year-old kitty, Leo, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The first time we saw her, she looked up at us with those big eyes of hers, climbed up on my husband’s shoulder, whispered in his ear, played with my hair and fell asleep in my arms. How could we possibly resist that? She is now four months old and a bundle of energy. She dives into bed with us and snuggles with us, is usually seen running around the apartment with a toy hanging out of her mouth and attacks all doors (open or closed) with a vengeance… and we wouldn’t have her any other way!

Pebbles
Location: Laredo, Texas, USA

This is our longhair Pebbles as a kitten! We found her mewling away inside a box that was left out in the rain, and brought her home with the intention of just feeding her and finding a good home, but her sweet temperament won us over. She loves napping on the window.

Plume
Location: Senonches, France

Plume was found abandoned by her mother, along with a sibling who didn’t survive until rescue. In the first few weeks, as she had not been properly weaned, she looked for warmth and comfort in some amusing places!

WeeWee
Location: Redford, Michigan, USA

After losing my cherished cat Junior to illness, I was looking for a furry friend to love. How do you go into a shelter and look at all those faces and pick one? I left in tears every time. My mother told me stop looking so hard and the right one will find you. Well, he did. One day while walking my dog we stumbled upon a litter of kittens someone had dumped at the park. It was love at first sight. I believe God put him there for me to find. He has been my greatest joy ever since!

Fric & Frac
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii, USA

Fric and Frac are my foster children. I found them at my school the day after the Humane Society had been called out to round up all the feral cats….they had missed a few. These two were only three weeks at the time. They are now four weeks of age. I am looking for a good home for the two of them, preferably together. I want to keep them myself, but I already have another cat and a large dog, and my husband said I can only have two pets. It will break my heart to give them up, but they should have a home where they can get plenty of love. Not that I don’t have the love to give, but space is an issue. They are both darling, but I can only be a pit stop on their way to their permanent family.

Celestino
Location: Torrington, Devon, England

Celestino is a Silver Chinchilla Persian, he is number four in our family of a Blue Persian Boy aged 14, two Ragdoll Boys aged two years. Celestino was a year on 5th May. I took this picture on the first day we had him. He is such a darling, has the most beautiful bushy tail and says ‘cheep cheep’ rather than meow. He loves to climb ladders.
