NoName
Location: Alberta, Canada

My brother went to help the Hutterite Brethren who live next to us, and they sent him home with a couple of cats for the farm. This one has the prettiest coloring and the prettiest blue eyes that I’ve ever seen.

Abel & Tasman
Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire, UK

Abel & Tasman were our very first kittens. A colleague of mine told me that her sister-in-law’s cat was pregnant, and we decided to take the (long awaited) plunge and adopt the kittens. They were born on the day of our wedding, and we found out that they were little boys on our honeymoon, whilst in the Abel Tasman national park in New Zealand. We had 10 very special months with them – they were the most loving, affectionate, beautiful boys you could imagine. We emigrated to Australia two years ago, and had to rehome them. Even though they went to the best home I could imagine, I cried for a week and still think about them every day.

Quan, Cloe, and Marble
Location: Fort Klamath, Oregon, USA

Here are Quan, Cloe and Marble, the first time I got them out of the barn. Scrappy and Princess, the rest of the litter are still hiding. The kittens feral mother (really a kitten herself) had been killed by a car 12 days earlier. When we found that she had been nursing, it took us two days to find the kittens in an abandoned barn and then ten days of feeding and watering twice a day to get them to come out to where we could set a trap. The barn was so full of junk we could not get into it, but the day after this photo was taken we trapped all five and with the help of our four other cats we “humanized” them and found forever homes for three of them while we kept two of the boys, Marble and Quan. They are now one year old big strong boys, and we love them very much. What a great addition to our family!
